Default Hair type?

What's my hair type, yo?
I've been told I have a jewfro, though I have no traceable Jew in my blood.
It's very kinky/frizzy at times. Craves moisture.
If I grow my hair out long, do you think it would look like Sky Blu's hair and drop? Or would it grow outward like Redfoo's?
I'm considering dreadlocks...
I shampoo and condition my hair with Treseme products right now. Is that alright? Any wisdom would be much appreciated.
Please and thank you. :]

I don't know your hair type, but knowing your hair properties (porosity, strand thickness e.t.c) would be more useful .

I believe your hair would fall eventually.

Since your hair craves moisture like mine , after washing and conditioning , you should follow up with a leave-in conditioner or try using your rinse out conditioner (applying it from mid shaft to ends bt not on your scalp, so it doesn't get greasy )

Many curlies here use their regular conditioner e.g tresemme naturals moisturizing conditioner ( you could try this if you don't already use it )

Another step that could help if the above doesn't quite do it is , SEALING . You could add a light oil e.g almond oil just to your ends to seal in the moisture , hence the term .

HTH

Nice hair!
I think u should try the Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in conditioner in the shower on wet hair after washing, then apply the Curling Custard, and use the spiral spritz on a daily basis.

Nice hair style.

I would say something in between 3b and 3c.

LOL @ Jew fro

jew isnt a race or ethincity, but a religion

but i do think non-blacks with curly hair often times have black ancestry(yes even whites that are jews)

So you should use more ethinic black hair care products for your hair

your hair type looks maybe like a 3b or 3a..im just guessing here. It looks like the same texture as many biracial blacks(half black/half white)

+1 on using the Kinky Curly line. I think it would be great for your hair. The packaging is pretty girly but it works like a champ on many hair types. Check it out! As far as hair type goes, you are firmly in the 3s so sticking to medium bodied to heavy products would probably be a good fit!

I had dreads, too at one point. So did my brother. They are the easiest thing in the world.

You have very nice hair though, and it looks good like that. I would say it is classic 3b, like my brother if he would take care of his hair like you :P.

It looks like your hair is 3c to me, but then again I am no expert! Your hair is cool!

You look like 3b to me..... I could make a comment to one of the posters above, but do not wish to make this into a race thread.

Whatever works for your hair is just fine! If you find something and it works for you, it doesn't matter whether it's CG or not, as long as you're treating your hair with respect. You do look like you could use a little more moisture though.
And since your hair is a lot like mine.... it'll grow out more then down, though it will start growing .... down-ish to an extent once it gets long enough.

Your hair's like mine in that second picture of yours. I'm guessing you're a 3b/c.

As far as the whole "Jewfro" thing, there actually is such a thing. The Ashkenazi Jews can be and are identified genetically and a fair percentage of us (I'm Jewish and many other things) have extremely curly hair (a lot of women straighten theirs so you wouldn't know).

But the term "Jewish" in the genetic sense is a group of people with common genes who've historically practiced Judaism as a group. Ashkenazi (European) Jews were ethnically homogeneous until about 1940 (didn't mix with other ethnic groups and suffered very specific diseases because of it - then most emigrated to the US), and although that generation shows 100% European ancestry in genetic tests, many have some variation on the "Jewfro". So it seems to be a trait specific to that group of Jews that couldn't have come from African, Latin or Asian ancestry.
