Question How to get curls back on guys?

So my bro was curly when we were little (probably a 3b) and it made sense since both of our parents have curly hair, but as years went by his curls have disappeared. His hair is in a wavy type of hair. Is that normal for guys or can he get them curls back? How?

The Curly Girl Method (not necessarily just for women). It seems to tighten the curl pattern for most. Check out the book by Lorraine Massey, 2nd edition. It has a section exclusively for men.

If its super short it can look looser since its not a full curl or if its super long because the weight pulls the curl out making it look wavy.

Another factor is hormonal changes that occur during puberty. So, if he has already entered puberty, there's a chance his hair is permanently altered.

But I still agree with the others: CG routine can help define whatever he has, plus length of the hair can make a real difference.
