Hi I'm new here but I think I have type 3a/2c hair.

I want to know how you guys keep your curls looking moist and defined WHILE your hair is dry.

I see people with tighter curls than me but there hair is really bouncy, defined and moist even though their hair dry.

How can I achieve this?

Here's a pic straight from the shower

What products do you use? Do you use a styler (gel)? I swear by gel for keeping my curls awesome all day. A good leave-in also works wonders to keep hair hydrated and soft

What specific products do you recommend? Also I have problems with curls becoming frizzy when I sleep... How do I solve that?
Satin pillow case. Might not "solve" it but will help. What are you using for conditioner?

If it is cone free you can just add a little of that back in after you have rinsed out. You have to play with amounts until you get when you want. You could also experiment with some gel. If you don't want to invest a lot, I am frankly pretty impressed with the LA Looks gels. And they are cheap. Maybe pick up a bottle and experiment with using it over some leave in. Air dry, DON'T touch while drying. If it looks crunchy, you can lightly scrunch that out. You could also try the LOC method, using a wee bit of oil and then a style cream over it. - some people use a gel over it. You have reallly nice hair. Have fun and play a little. You might read through the 3 forum for some ideas as well.

Your hair can easily be defined with Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie ! or if you wanna use a gel then eco styler is definitely for you !
Different methods where you rake gel in the hair then let it air dry or diffuse your hair help or you could diffuse your hair then put on a leave in conditioner twist outs braid outs the world is your oyster.
Hope this helped!
