what cg means to a man
okay now i have this idea.
cg is natural, no cones, no shampoo.
nopoo is a condish. which we can use.
lowpoo is for the more variant person who wants to use the onec and have a milder version of haircare. maybe good for those with short hair?
i haven't read lorraine masseys' book. i figure though that her method is one of a natural sort, moistuize, style, gentle dry, make your own product, be sort of independant and involved with your hair. make it a part of you by taking care of it differently, and doing it intelligently.
i know this is theory, but it seems it is an empowerment of women. women who are deemed meant to have long hair and are stereotyped into taking a long time to get ready because of doing the hair. and men, on a side note, who are looked at as feminine secretly, by their shorter haired peers for having length on top.
i think this method actualizes us, i will focus on the women. this actualizes the women to overcome the stereotype, because they begin to love and appreciate their hair. women are not meant to have long hair, they choose to and they love it.
so to me, in theory, this method brings our minds to be active in hair care, and we become proud of our hair. no one can treat us as if it is expected because we are not waiting for anyone to appreciate it, we already do.
the women of cg are truly inspiring. as they are totally self liberated. i think they are a sight to behold. they have crossed the threshold and have become independant. they do what they want, and they love it.
hone your hair,
-john
p.s.
i came across this entire idea as i searched for what the difference between cg and mod.cg is. as that is my opinion, all ideas expressed above are only my opinion as well.
the curlygirl is a natural girl. a natural entity occurs by itself as is a force of nature.
cg has evolved and it is now widespread, in chatter online in in salons of its own kind. men have taken it up, and it is not just for women, but for everyone.
it is a statement, as was the peace sign in 1969.
it describes unity, within ourself, with our peers, and with the natural forces around ourselves.
hair care changes eveyday, and i have yet to experience the joy of not being stressed about bad hair days, as i am only beginning.
i found out what it means to be cg, to me.
