Pros and Cons of getting your hair thinned?

Have you ever gotten your hair thinned? I was thinking about it, but what do you think?
i was told that your hair would grow back thicker if you got it thined

I don't like getting my hair thinned, I feel like is "restricts" my curls (basically it doesn't let me see how they ACTUALLY look).
Hair Type: I was thinking thick, fine 3A, but honestly I have no clue! I do know I have a super flat top, and frizz on the sides.
No - Poo Shampoo: Kiss My Face Whenever Shampoo

I never got my hair thinned but I have thick hair and when i touch other peoples thin hair when im curling or straightening it my reaction is kind of like woww ur hair is so thin and boring and feels nothing like mine!
i would miss my thick hair
Honestly, every hair is different and you should try it out. I used to get my hair thinned out all the time--basically whenever I went for a trim. My hair was not poofy at all and I noticed it seemed healthier. But it doesn't last as long as you would want it, because when hair is trimmed off a lot, it grows back fast. I eventually stopped because it never really lasted as long as I liked. But it was worth it for a while, and its great if you want a few weekend of non-poofy hair.

**ALSO! If you do the razor method on the very first (top) layer on your hair, it will be very frizzy when it grows back! Make sure your stylist thins the bottom layers.

Hope I helped. Good luck!
Pros
`It makes your hair not so frizzy for a while.
`it's more manageable for a while.
`it's a little bit sleeker for a while.
`much lighter on the head for a while.
`less products used.

cons
`if you have you hair thinned out by a thinning scissors your ends will eventually split.
`it doesnt last long.. once you get it thinned you have to get it thinned when you have your hair trim. unless you ask your stylist to thin your hair with regular cutting shears and kind of "undo" the thinning scissors "memory" if you can call it that..
`i dont really think it's healthy..
`curls are not so defined because parts of the curls are being taken away.. if that makes sense.

and yes i realized and purposely put the 'a while' in the pros.
hope this helps..btw.. i have alot of cons but cant really think of anything else.. i just regret getting my hair thinned..
