Some pretty... Some not

On the underlayers of my hair I have some really pretty defined curls that look curled but the rest of my hair just gets this ugly curly / wavy look and frizzed and gets fuzzy! I don't wanna use heat on mr hair every day so what can I do to get the rest of my hair pretty!?

I have the same problem. The under layer of my hair is wonderful, but the tops is just.. ick. I usually wet plop my hair overnight, which really helps the curl formation. Sometimes I spend a lot of time scruching the hair on my top if I need it. But there's usually nothing wrong with using a diffuser heat everyday because that heat is not harmful.

You can also try some curl defining creams that help curl formation. It's just trying different ideas and products that makes your hair amazing.

If I scrunch my hAir too much it gets frizzy... I will try a diffuser though.... When I plop my hair overnight it always falls out before I wake up!!!!! Thanks for the help it means alot to me!

CG also made my hair curlier! I was a 3a, but now I'm boucing around the 3b range!

Sometimes before I diffuse I plop for about 10-15 minutes, which stops my hair from dripping and helps set the curl formation for drying.

The best diffusing method for curl formation is the pixie curl method. It can take time though, so I recommend you try it on the weekend.

You check out some YouTube videos of it if you want!
But in a nutshell it's a method of diffusing your hair. Using a bowl hair diffuser, put a section of hair on the diffuser and then bring up to your head. Only then do you turn it on! Leave it there for a good amount of time and turn it off before you pull it away from your head. Repeat all over your head.
Curls might look a little wonky after doing this but don't worry they will relax in a beautiful natural shape if you don't touch them after a few minutes.
