Well my transition so far hasn't been THAT bad. I chose to transition because my hair had been SEVERELY damaged by chemicals... Relaxers, dyes.. etc. I'd been getting relaxers for 11 years and I just decided that it wasn't for me anymore & my parents agreed.. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what my hair will look like after all the relaxer is gone.. I tried to look through old pictures of myself before my relaxer but I HAVE NONE! I was either bald or relaxed! It's so frustrating... I just want a pretty head of healthy curls..

Btw... my parents are black but I have a lot of White & Native American in my family... (If that can be a determining factor)

Well since you are 4 months post and are eager to see some natural texture you can cut off some hair in the back or middle of your head to see how it coils and thangs! That's really the only way to tell though because your relaxed hair does weigh down the new growth.
