A tad clueless..
Alright, so I am 16 years old and have I guess 3a or 3b hair. Now I wear it curly all the time but have only wearing it down starting this year. I really have no idea how to style it, what products to use, and I do not have a routine really.. I feel like I'd really like to start experimenting with different ways to do my hair, but I am the only girl in my family of my dad and two older brothers, so I am a tad clueless at where to begin. Suggestions would be helpful and much appreciated(: The only thing I prefer is that any product recommendations are for something I could get from maybe Walgreens or someplace that's not a fancy store or off the Internet. Thanks!(:
A good conditioner to use is Yes to Carrots or Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. Use a Sulfate free shampoo. The BEST gel to use is Eco Styler Olive Oil gel!! And a good hairspray to use is Garner Ant-humidity spray ;D
Have you check out this thread: TON of useful information for newbies? If not, start there for routine advice. This is also a good thread: Start Here
Both of those threads have info on the CG method, which is *the* method around here.
I am a modified CG because I still feel the need to low-poo now and then. My signature has most of the products I use, all can be found at Walgreens, Target and Sally's Beauty Supply. The products not in my signature, that I have used before with luck, are: Gariner Pure Clean Conditioner, Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Styling Gel, and Herbal Essence Set Me Up Max Hold Gel
Good luck on your journey to beautiful curls! I wish I had started when I was 16 :)
