It's so princess-y and beautiful! Our prom is much less formal prom-y and more cocktail attire...sometimes I wish it was the former :/

You guys look awesome! And I'm loving the dresses! Rimi, I hope you find a good blazer! Post a pick! Okay, so I've decided on the gold and black dress, and I just got asked to prom last week! So I'm starting to get excited about it. I have no idea what kind of hairstyle I should do. I have mid-length hair, 3a curls, any suggestions?? And I need to find some shoes....

Unfortunately our prom is at our school in our student lounge :/ it's pretty big though, so I guess it's alright...
Were you going to wear it straight or curly?

I love the idea of this thread!
As far as curly hair do's go, I left my hair natural for dances my freshman year - homecoming I did a half-up half-down with a jewel clip, and sweethearts I did a side ponytail with a giant flower.
This year, my friend asked me to prom so I get to go! I have no idea how to do my hair, though. I'm also considering wearing a short dress, which my friends are emphatically saying no to. What do you guys think - it's my sophomore prom, so should my dress be short or long?

I say, wear what you want! I don't like to put limits on the type of dress you can wear based on the year that you are. You just want to make sure that you're comfortable in whatever you wear!
Were you thinking of wearing your hair straight?

Oh, our school alternates so one year it's close to home and then the next it's farther away. I'm definitely wearing it curly, haven't straightened it in more than three years.

Mine is on the 28, and we are holding it in the grand ballroom at the university. I'm so excited! Although I hardly know the person who asked me...but it happens haha. I was thinking of putting my clip in extensions in my hair and doing a long, curly side-swept type thing. Probably wear a gold headband too. These are the shoes my friend wore, do you think I should get something like them?
