Default Damaged Biracial Hair

I have straightened my hair at least once a year since I was 11 or 12, I have straightened ends and I don't want to cut them off( you can see them in my profile picture) and they are getting curlier but I need help on my routine so far its once a week co wash then a DT then stylers daily (normally cond. w/ water.) I need help on the products so if anyone who has biracial parents (black mom white dad) and curly 3b hair that would be willing to help that would be great, but any help would be great

it doesn't really matter if you're bi-racial or not. there are plenty of people on here with your hair texture that aren't black-white and that could help you.

all the matters are your hair properties. what texture is your hair (fine, normal, coarse)? how dense is it? does it like a lot of proteins? what are the names of the products you're currently using?

Your routine seems good to me! What seems to be the problem? Dryness? Breakage?

Both in the morning my hair is dry I try using water a some conditioner but it makes it either crunchy or drier ( I've used alba coconut conditioner,Aussie moist and Paula in the mornings) from what I've heard it matters on porosity and texture( high/med porosity and coarse/med texture) so should I look for products based on those two attributes?

Well, I understand the whole biracial hair thing, because I have 3b hair on the outside, and 4a towards my neck and ears. 3c in between and random 2a strands.

I did the exact same thing, I straightened my hair once a year since early middle school.

Using a leave-in conditioner (devacurl conditioner) and olive oil on my ends occasionally definitely helped. I would immediately throw my hair up in a braid and the scalp would never dry, and I got dandruff. Using a dandruff shampoo definitely dried my hair, but starting that leave-in conditioner and the olive oil on the ends really helped. Once I got some moisture into my hair I started using a gel (devacurl again) to define the curl more.

But after all of that ranting, I recommend (after the shower) a leave-in conditioner, gel, and olive oil on the ends. It's not much, but it worked wonders for me.
