MY BC !

I just recently did my BC , actually 2 days ago.
I have 3C Hair type. For the past 2 days i've been settling for a wash & go. I tie my hair down, but when ii wake up my hair is matted on my head & if i dont tie it down it looks like i've been struck by lightening so I have 2 questions.

1. Is CoWashing daily damaging to my hair?
I use jane carter no s4s shampoo & conditioner.

2. How do i tie my hair down without waking up looking like a fool?

No cowashing is not bad I suggest doing it for those who just BCed because some people say their hair is so dry right after then over time they can cowash less

- have you tried running your fingers through your hair? if you spray it in the morning and finger comb, it should spring "back to life" so to say .

@dimo3c try going on youtube and searching second day hair. It could be the product you're using too some stuff will give you second day hair some won't buts its all about what works for you. Also is your hair long enough for a pony tail at the very top of your head? By top I mean like at your hairline or as close as possible? If so id suggest doing the pineapple method. There are youtube videos showing how to do that as well. Hope this helps.

I just BC'ed too, and I've come to learn a few things.

My hairs a 3c/4a blend mostly and a 4c in the very back. I transitioned for exactly 8 months. I cut my hair short at 7 months. I've been natural about two weeks now, and I've cowashed ALOT. The second day, I re-rinsed my hair with conditioner like four times because the wash and goes weren't turning out right. I've come to learn the following:
1. Deep condition hair at least once a week for freshly BC'ed hair.
2. For this short stage, use fingers instead of a comb or denman to detangle. Using your fingers helps the curls clump together more.
3. Apply leave-in generously and use an oil over to seal in the moisture.
4. Re-wet if you need before you apply gel.
5. Get the gel all into the hair, applying it evenly.
6. DON'T TOUCH IT WHILE IT'S DRYING.
It's only been two weeks, so I'm still learning, but these facts have come out of trial and error.
