Terribly unruly, frizzy, kinky hair

Heres a picture from a month ago, no product: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=52gh3p&s=6

This is what it looks like after using chi silk: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=nz0qi8&s=6

So i am fifteen years old, and all my life i have had to deal with terrible hair. Right now, its color treated, and about to my mid-back. My mom has wavy thick hair, my dad has thick straight hair, and my sister has thick beach wavy hair that grew 12" this year. I have been trying to find a solution to taming/defining my hair, and for the past 4 years, have had no luck. I was disappointed coming to this site, as i cant even identify my hair type.

My hair:
-frizzy
-somewhat kinky
-breaks all the time
-falls out continuously
-takes an hour to blow dry
-takes about 3 hours to air dry
-scrunches frizzy
-somewhat/very thin
-grows literally about 3 inches/year

I have tried:
-garnier
-John Freida
-not your mothers
-devacurl
-bedhead
-teresseme
-herbal essences
-redken
and sooo many more

i would normally use 5+ different products at night, let it dry in my sleep, in the morning curl my hair with a jose eber wand, and use paul mitchell hair spray. Although it worked well, it took a total of about an hour. Straightening takes about an hour or two as well.

I just want some help. I am so desperate. It has gotten to a point where I decline plans because i wont have enough time to do my hair. I cant go swimming, because im afraid my hair will get wet. It is without a doubt my biggest insecurity, and it has brought me to tears numerous times. Im hopeless, and i have run out of options.

Hmm. A few months ago I was in the same boat as you. My hair was literally a puff of frizz unless I took 2 hours to straighten it. Now that I've been treating my hair right I can let it dry naturally without it looking a hot mess! How often do you put heat on your hair? When is the last time you cut your hair? I know it sucks, but if you have a lot of damage you have to cut it. No amount of deep conditioning can fix them!

Since products aren't working for you (believe me, I know how that feels!) you might wanna try natural methods. Before I shower I always put extra virgin olive oil in my hair. I know that sounds gross but it keeps the frizz down so well for me. Just gotta make sure you get it all out in the shower! It will keep your hair feeling very moisturized. You can also try coconut oil, jojoba oil, etc.

And I know this it a lot of info to take in at once, but you may want to try the CG method. I'll link you to the info about it...

Introduction to the no-poo method

Hope I helped a little bit and I hope your hair improves. Don't give up

Well, i didnt straighten it from January until July this year. Recently, though, i have been straightening it about two or three times a week. And my mom bought the curly girl book for me last year, i read the whole thing, but i might have overlooked some things. Ill go back and look through it. i just posted a picture, it might help. thank youu
Wow, your hair is seriously gorgeous. I'm jealous! If you have any questions or anything feel free to message me.

hah.. thanks.. i would love to leave it curly more, but its just too frizzy
From the looks of the pictures and the amount of times you straighten your hair, I would say that it heat damaged. Dyeing it does not help either

Sounds like heat damage, with that amount of straightening. You may need to cut some of it off and TLC the rest big time, and refrain from processing. You can tell your hair has potential to be thick and wonderfully curly . I highly suggest the CG method.
