Is the rest of your family curly or straight?
So I was just curious to see how many of you come from families with curly hair or straight hair. My hair is wavy/curly but I seem to be the only one in my family who has very much of any curl. I come from a big family (I have 10 siblings) but my older sisters (who are twins) seem to be the only other ones who have any curl in their hair and it is only a little bit of wave. Everyone else seems to have stick straight hair. I tried to curl my little sister's hair for her and I put in a ton of gel and used a diffuser on her hair but I couldn't even get any wave in her hair doing that.
So do the rest of you come from families of straight hair or curly hair and what does the rest of your family think of your hair?

Mine is half and half. My dad has straight, my sister and brother have straight (though both have some wave and body to it), my mom has extremely curly and frizzy (she doesn't know how to care for it u_u'), and I got her curls with just less frizz.
My family is caucasian btw. Our heritage is northern european.
When I was little, my hair was as straight as my siblings, but when I got to middle school my curls started developing. I really hated it at first lol and I still have some trouble. My family likes my curly hair, but they also don't understand how hard it is to care for and style curls than straight locks.

My sister has a wave to her hair but not as strong as mine. My mom blowdrys her hair strait everyday, but shes still got a body wave. no clue about my dad his hairs only like an inch long. lol.
However, I am the only blonde in my whole family.

My mom has a tiny bit of wave, but I'm definitely the only curly.

My parents are curly, but they both keep their hair quite short so I'm not really sure how curly they are.

In my family everyone is straight except for me! However I know that when my dad was younger he had longer hair that was curly, so that must be where I get it from! my sister wishes her hair was curly!! xD

My dad has wavy hair . My mom has natural 4a/3c . My brother has 4a/3C hair . I unfortunately had to be the odd ball in the family . I came out with 1a strands all over the head thst stick out , 3a strands all over , 3c / 4a , that mostly covers my head . I can only thank my dads side of the family though for my hair -___- . No one knows how hard it is to manage so many different textueres .

Lets see, my mom has 2a hair but you'd never know cause she keeps her hair in a pixie cut. My dad has curly hair, again you wouldn't know cause he keeps it short but when it starts to grow a little you can see finger waves through all of it. When he was in high school he had really curly and puffy hair, he said he actually had a Afro for a while. My older brother has 2b hair but he straightens it basically all the time so you'd never know. My little sister has 2a and 2b hair. I have the curliest hair out of us kids.

My dad has some curls (with the little hair he has left lol) and my mom has some waves. My brother got some waves, and my two sisters and I got curls, like 3b/c curls haha.
And weirdly, I have 20 cousins and my siblings and I have the only curls. Everyone else is stick straight.

My dad's side of the family has stick straight hair, which includes my half brothers. My mom's curl is 4b, but she straightens it or pulls it back in a bun. I'm the only one who really wears her hair curly.

Dad: wavy/curly hair, he keeps it short but I would guess it's 2c botticelli just like mine.
Mum: 2a-b.
Little sister: 1c-2a with some spirals, but probably it will get curlier as she gets older since bith I and my dad had straight hair when little.
Little brother: When his hair is about 10 cm you can se a body wave so probably he would have type two hair if it grew out.
Big brother: No idea, he keeps it short.

My mother has looser curls than mine but I think its the products she uses. My sister has very loose waves and both my dad and brother have straight hair. Out of everyone I have the tightest curls.
The rest of our family has straight hair.

My mum has curly hair (in the 3s)
My dad has really kinky hair (4c and tighter)
My brother has curly/kinky hair (about 4a/4b), but keeps it quite short (but you can tell he has curly hair.
My sister (foster-sis) has kinky hair
I have curly/kinky hair (very little 3c, 4a/4b and a little 4c)
My grandfather (mum's dad) has 3a/3b curls
My grandmother (mum's mum) has about a lil 3c, 4a/4b/4c curls
My grandfather (dad's dad) about I think 4a-ish (but he was mainly bald)
My grandmother (dad's mum) has quite kinky hair (4b/4c)
My mum's siblings have 3a/3b/3c curls.
My dad's siblings have super kinky hair (they all have relaxed hair, by the way)
My cousins (on mum's side) all have hair types ranging from 3b/3c to 4b.
My cousins (on dad's side) all have 4b/4c hair.
I'm mixed race and all my cousins on my mum's side have a black parents so they're all mixed too. On my dad's side, there's only one white (my uncles wife) and her kids are the only ones with 3b/3c/4a hair.
I have more whites on my mum's side, I don't know them, so I don't know if any of them have straight hair, but the ones I know are all curly haired (in the 3s).

Nope... I'm the only weirdo lol
Okay, so I'm the oldest of three in my family, and my mom told me that I was bald until I was one and half. I had like little peach fuzz. My aunts (my dad has three sisters) were pretty snobby (think cinderella's evil step sisters), and my mom had just come to America after getting married to my dad and they gave her a lot of crap about me cause I looked like a boy lol. Then one day all of was quiet in the world and BAM! I had a little coily thing on my head. WHAT NOW???!! My aunts shut the hell up after that day after their countless perms (80's) and till this day they don't admit they wish they were me lol But I've abused my hair quite a lot before this... anyway yes I am the only curly and most of the time I look adopted, but I dont mind that.
