Default Thinning out hair?

My hair is 2b on the top layer , and more straight/wavy on the bottom layer. My hair used to be SUPER curly but now it has grown out to my belly button so it has calmed down. my hair IS healthy & i dont use any heat on it. It has some frizz to it and its thick ! Which really bugs me. Which brought me to the idea of thinning it out too make it more manageable. Has anyone had any experience thinnning it out! Should i or should i bot ? Thank you ! ^.^ :*

Many on here have thinned their hair in the hopes of taming the curl. The general conclusion is that this is a disastrous mistake. It's fine and dandy for all of 1 week until your hair starts to grow out.... it's just exaggerates the problem of poofy volume.

buuuuut
Since you say your hair is 2b with weak waves this may be okay for you. Generally the curlier the hair the less thinning out your hair works.
