Wanting to wear my hair natural to school?

hello everyone,

so i dont really know my hair type and i dont have a picture of myself with my natural curls. since the 7th grade (now in grade 12) ive straightened my hair everyday. yes very bad i know. but when i was younger, i had long gorgeous wavy hair and my mom cut it all off due to lice. it went from my butt to above my shoulders and turned super curly. my hair is really healthy surprisingly. i use coconut oil 3 or more times a week and deep condition and hot oil treatments a few times as well. anyway, everyone loves my curls. when i go away to soccer and after my shower, i get a ton of compliments. problem is, my hair takes 2 or more hours to dry and it sometimes dries different. i also wont have enough time to shower in the morning. i was wondering if there was a way where i could get my curls in the morning and my hair not be wet by the time i go to school. will the pineapple method work with wet hair? like doing it before bed and then taking it out in the morning? ill try and post a curly pic in a few days.my hair straightened is about 18 inches and it falls just past my shoulders when natural.
Hey!
The pineapple method may work or you can just diffuse your hair.
A method I saw was wetting your hair, put your products in, and wrap your hair in an old t-shirt for 10 minutes then take it down and it should be like 50-70% dry.

Thanks for the reply! I've never tried diffusing... Does it keep your curls and not make it frizzy? I would be applying product but not too much as I don't like how my hair curls when certain products are used
A diffuser doesn't make curls frizzy or atleast from what I've seen on tv/youtube.My hair is too short so I can't say for myself but I agree that using a shirt helps.

Also when you get out the shower do you twist your hair so that all the water is out? That really helps me.

Yep, as long as you learn how to use the diffuser (youtube helps here ) and use it on a low heat/ no heat it cuts down drying time by quite a lot, while minimising heat damage
I use a diffuser in the mornings. I recommend the pixie curl method. Waterlily716 has a great video on it!

Just a few tips that I do: Personally, I began showering at night time, doing the whole scrunching in the gel, plopping, and waiting for it to dry to avoid wet hair in the morning. The thing that worked for me was to NOT touch my hair at all and to go to bed with it FULLY dry. My hair needs the gel cast (aka the annoying "crunch" that gel gives to your hair) to form fully in order to have frizz free curls in the morning. I usually mess with it and scrunch out the crunch in the morning with just a bit of olive oil (or whatever you'd like to use, you don't have to use oil at all), and voila!

If you do prefer to shower in the morning, diffuse your hair! It only takes about 15 minutes (more or less) to do. You can also use the pineapple method to go get second day hair, to avoid the washing and diffusing process again.
