How do i get perfect curls for 3B hair?

Hello! I have 3B curls, and sometimes, they look really great, are soft, perfect formation, and all that. But then they're times, where it just looks like ****! I don't know if my hair is unhealthy, but i think it is! It is super frizzy, and when i (very rarely) comb it out while it's dry, its a POOFY MESS. I take a shower, use a wide tooth comb, use moisture shampoo + balsam, use a hair gel, and a leave in conditioner, and sometimes a mousse. My curls gets so stiff and they "curly part" of my hair goes further down, so the curly part starts at the middle of my hair. When i were little i never used ANY products, and my hair looked beautiful. But then i got my eyes opened for the wonderful "Hair product world" and i used a bit of that, in the start it looked even better! So i kept doing that. But then it began to look badder and badder! I began combing the products in my hair, but that would result in some VERY stiff and EW hair, or a TOTALLY poofy mess. I dont even know what to do any more?? It's so rarely that i have a good hairday. Can you recommend any products for my hairtype, that will make it non-frizzy, non-stiff, non-greasy and give me wonderfully soft curls? I like when my curls are shaped like ringlets the best. BTW. I NEVER straighten or curl my hair, i do it maybe 1 or 2 every year.
I would think that the best idea is to try CG? Maybe if that doesn't work out for you, you could also try low pooing once in awhile. The best way to start would be to look at people's signatures (people who look like they have hair similiar to yours) and go from there. Honestly, there is no "cure all" that I can tell you because what works for my hair may not work for yours. Everyone's hair is different and unfotunately we have to go through trial and error.
When you said that your hair looked good and got worse and worse, that sounds like silicones making your hair appear healthier and covering up the damage. Silicones can be quite evil, but some people still use them in moderation.
But all I can say is experiment. You see if you look at your natural hair with out all the product you add maybe that will help you determine a more accurate analysis of how healthy your hair really is. Sometimes I like to wash my hair and apply no product whatsoever just to see how my hair is doing and what it just does naturally. If it feels dry or anything I may want to incorporate more moisturizing/emollient based products to soften and nourish my hair etc. I hope all this makes sense. Best of look to you and don't give up.
Sometimes I get carried away and manipulate him too much. He tells me he's fine on his own but I never listen. I wash him less now and all in all we're happy.

I'm pretty new to this myself but I agree that going low or no poo should make a difference. I put products in soaking wet hair which makes a big difference too.
You mentioned a few products, I light suggest starting from scratch and using just one at a time. Then you can get a feel for what each one does for you, and them you'll be able to later them as needed. A lot of people do their no poo routine, layer in a leave in, then a creme or gel. Some use both. (I use Kinky Curly custard and a gel on top of it)
Also, regarding combing it out- you mentioned a big poofy mess when combing it dry. Yeah, nothing will stop that. I don't think that there is anyone not his board who will tell you that combing or brushing their hair dry does anything but make it look like a puffer fish!
