Default how can i get my curl back?

6th grade and earlier I had curly hair, it was poofy long big curls. Then I got it cut chin length and as im finally growing it out 5 years later I noticed that it doesn't have its curl anymore. I rarely flat iron my hair but i flatten it out with a hat at night after a shower. so how can i get back my naturally curly hair?

Sorry I won't be of much help, but I was just wondering, did your hair have curl when it was chin length? If so it might be getting weighed down. Or is there no curl at all?

Usually when you hit puberty your hair changes so when you got it cut you probably didn't notice the change, and you say you straighten it out with a hat don't do that because it is tugging at your roots which is a big no-no.

I agree
Instead of wearing a hat at night after a shower it would be best to either: Pineapple your hair, plop it or wear a silk bonnet. This would reduce any frizz and keep your natural curls; when you wake in the morning just spritz your hair with water (or CA) and let air dry to revitalise any stretched curls
