Cool What's going on with my hair?

Hi!
A little history of my hair. When I was younger I had long, thick hair until about the 7th grade when I begged my mom for a perm (stupid mistake I know ).
ANYWAY, I was going natural and pressing for a little while like 8th grade to 10th grade. I have been wearing weaves for about 2 or 3 years now and I am planning to wear my hair naturally for summer. If all goes well and I figure out a plan that doesn't include "the big chop" I would like to continue on my natural journey. Currently after being braided under weaves for a few years my curl pattern has changed. Rather than being a nice "s" curl like it used be it's like an scz lol. Is this because of the braids under the weave and will it go back to normal? Please help and sorry this so long.
