2c-3a some questions, need help!😳

hey guys, i have some problems with my curly, wavy hair!
1. the tangles! the ends of my shoulder long hair are most of time (after doing sports, sleeping ect) full of tangles, how do you deal with that? everytime i brush through it it looks like a mess

2. can you recommend good hair gels for defining the curls? and also good shampoos ect for moisture it?

3. do you have ideas how to style them?

i would be very happy about every answer because i don't feel very confident with my hair in the moment :/
Hi! I have 3A hair, so it sounds like we have similar hair types. I never brush my hair, I only detangle with a wide tooth comb in the shower. I was my hair at night with only conditioner (it sounds a little gross, but really conditioner cleans just as well as shampoo) and then while the conditioner is still in my hair, I take a wide tooth comb and detangle it. Then after waiting a few minutes, I rinse it out. Right after I'm done washing my hair I put leave in conditioner in it and scrunch it with a t-shirt till it's not dry, but not dripping wet....if that makes any sense. When I wake up in the morning, I get my hair damp and then put some gel in my hair. I use herbal essence...they have some really good gels and mousses. Then I flip my head over and scrunch. Oh, and I deep condition twice a week. It's a pretty simple routine, and my hair loves it! Hope this helps!!
Try to avoid the tangles in the first place: wear your hair up for sports (braid, bun with Spin Pins etc). At night do a 'pineapple' or loose bun on top of your head and sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase.

Aim not to detangle except in the shower with head slathered in conditioner. Curly hair is not meant to be tangle free at all times it is the nature of the beast. If you absolutely must dry detangle use your fingers and do the bare minimum, do not brush curly hair.

my hair is a lot like yours (...i think) it's pretty much down to my boobs so tangles are a huge pain. i like to have a wide tooth comb with me when i shower, and before i rinse my cleansing conditioner out i get all the tangles out. what kind of soap have you been using? i've been looking for a perfect one haha

as far as styling curls i get really ocd -- i don't like crunchy looking ringlets but i've been loving the not your mother's curling serum. it smells. AHMAZING.

for styling i like to pin back random strands or chunks, although for the most part i wear it down.
