Year 9 graduation hair

Hey, I'm in year 9 (UK) which I think is grade 8 in the US. I was planning to straighten my hair for the first time since going natural and wanted to know how to prevent heat damage.

Thank you
If you want to straighten occasionally, my best advice is to use a heat protectant. Also, don't try to straighten hair while it's wet.
2c/3a, dense, fairly coarse, normal porosity and elasticity, just below shoulder
Low poo: Giovanni 50 50
Co-wash: down under naturals, tresume naturals
R O: Tresume Naturals
L I: Giovanni Direct, KCKT
Stylers: cjccccl, cjpp, jcrr, brhg
Oils: coconut, argan or evoo
Maybe try blowdrying it straight / getting it blowdried at a hairdresser. That's less damaging than using straightening irons. Also, of course, make sure a heat protectant is used.

(Side note: you're graduating in year 9? What?! Lol.)
3A with some 3B thrown in. Medium porosity. Medium Thickness. High density.

Thanks for the tips, and yes we graduate in year 9 because we are leaving KS3 and moving to KS4. also my school has small schools so they're celebrating our achievments as we move to another small school for year 10
Oooh that's so cool! Is that similar to American schools when they do Middle School and High School then?

My school was pretty big so we were then from year 7 all the way through. Plus we had sixth form there lol. So I was basically at the same school forever!

Anyway, hope you have a great graduation
