I've been wanting to get side bangs for awhile, I'm just not sure it would look good on my hair. I'm here for some advice...

Personally, I would say no because they'll be a pain. However they would look nice if you straightened them. But other than that, who knows what they will do because curls are so unpredictable.

I'm on the other side of the coin, trying desperately to grow out bangs that I've had for practically my whole life. Not to discourage you from getting bangs cut in, but I've really had a hard time dealing with mine as they grow out- a REALLY hard time.

My advice would be to really think it out before doing something drastic. I believe you could even pick up a set of "falsies" just to see how you like the look- I believe I've seen some very cute pics misfitcurls has posted with clip on (?) bangs. Maybe it'd be a good idea to try something like this to make sure you really want bangs before you get yourself in a situation where you may not like it as much as you thought, and would have to wait months just to get your hair back to what it is now?

It looks so pretty now, and I'd just hate to see you wind up in Bang Hell like me.

I think they would look good. Just beaware that bangs takes more care than the rest of your hair. Also they're a PAIN to grow out. I had bangs when I still had a perm. When I was trying to do a slow transition it was my bangs that aggrivated me the most. If you're willing to go throught that and plan on keeping your bangs for awhile then go for it.

i was thinking of doing the same thing. i want to layer it and get side bangs. should i? i have the same type of hair as you! help me decide!

i disagree...i have side bangs and they aren't a pain at all. i don't straighten them (i HATE the way that looks) and i don't treat them any differently from the rest of my hair. the key is that they need to be LONG for them to be side swept. i mean, at least between cheek bone and chin. I made a blog entry about my bangs here. Maybe that will help. Your hair is really pretty, either way!!

so you get the bangs cut when they're dry or wet? if dry down to your cheeck, but if wet down to your chin because they will curl up? i need to reasearch alot of thingss!

i have side bangs & the only way i get them to look nice is when i straighten them or pin them back
