Default 1/2 way to success!

Alright- my prob. w/ my curls is that it's 3b in the back and 3c in the front.. I've worn my hair straight for years bcuz I didn't know how to deal with it. Recently I've tried putting fructis wax in my hair and it looks gorgeous- it loosens up my curls the way I want them to!! I haven't straightened my hair in a week!! HOWEVER- it looks great but feels waxy... and doesn't have much movement. Is there something I can do? Is there a better wax out there?
thanks soo much for any help!!!!!!!

it's fructis style "surf hair" (texture paste matte effect:strong). And when I put it in my wet hair it helps keep the wet hair look and weighs my super curly hair down and makes them more loose- and I love the look- but not how my hair feels.

maybe you should try combinations, like a small amount of that waxy stuff mixed underneath regular gel? i like layering products

Hi CurlyLucy,

I'm not a teen but I saw your post and my hair is also 3B/C. You may have to experiment to see what products you'll like that don't make your hair feel "yucky".

I have found that waxes and heavy creams (like the Garnier Soft Cream that was mentioned) make my hair look nice at first but feel dirty as the day goes on.

You might try products that are more like a lotion consistantancy, a gel, or try a leave-in conditioner. They may not weigh your hair down quite as much but you may end up being much happier when your hair feels nicer.

Eventually you'll find what you like the best - although it may take a few years!
