Do yu attract more boys when yr hair is straight or curly ?

Like Tree4Likes

I was just wondering. I think I get more attention with curly hair and I stand out a little bit more then my straight hair friends.

One of my friends says she pulls them more when her hair is straight because she looks older. Pshhhhh baloney right?

how about yu ? just wondering btw

i dont wear my hair straight that often cuz it doesnt stay straight and then my day is ruined. but when it comes to guys..im 16 right but everyone thinks that im 19 or 20. apparently (so i've been told on multiple occasions) curly hair is a big turn on. but then again (and im not being racist) black or ethnic guys tend to LOVE girls with shoulder length or longer curly hair. white guys like straight hair.
so i guess it depends what kind of guy you go for to determine which way to wear your hair

Of course, I don't think that was because they thought much of me, they probably jsut thought it was funny because I'm quiet, and I played oboe, and no one knows what an oboe even is......

hahaha, that went off topic.
I'm 15 now but I don't get on often so I may be 67 by the time you read this.
My name is Sarah.
I come on here when I want hair advice because if you type in "curly hair" anywhere, all you get is advice on how to curl it. I used to get on here a lot when I was like, 12 or 13 (and first figuring out how to stop straightening my hair without being bullied), so if you happen to see some older posts of mine, shh. No judging.
I pull more guys when my hair is curly because I'm sort of in that age group when boys like natural girls...I'll be 18 in November. But my ex prefered my hair straight because it looked "sophisticated."

I don't know if generalizing about what guys like what is...well...gonna be accurate. If the fashion is curly hair, men will praise curly hair (as in many decades/ages past). If the fashion is straight hair, men will dig straight hair.

Men can be swept by the "current idea of attractiveness" like women (be it a preference for zaftig/cushy fleshed women versus slender/muscle-toned ones).Men are creatures of society.

Otherwise how to explain a preference for superfat women in Mauritius (where men like em huge and full of stretch marks) or Samoa, or a preference for slim., girlish, and delicate in Japan? The culture dictates what people think is...in, desirable, "trophy wife worthy".

Next millenium, if a major famine hits, the fat girls will be back in style. hahahah

I would also hafta go with both. My boyfriend says that my straight hair is 'sexy', and my curls are pretty. I prefer my curls '♥
3a/b'
' Shamp- HEHH w. orchid & coconut oils
' Cond - HEHH '' '' '' ''
' Olive Oil Hair Lotion for split ends and root stimulation. &
' Blue Magic styling leaving in conditioner. Softee CO. Fantasia HPSG.
' Quick Spritz = Water, Coconut Condtioner.

Well.. I'm 17.. My boyfriend adores my curls, but thinks straight hair is nice on occasion. I think when boys start to mature more, they develop a better sense of what they like, instead of following the 'norm.'
Ugh. Sadly, when it's straight. Mind you, I'm thirteen. I look, with curly hair, fifteen. But when it's straight? Seventeen. The curls hide my curves from obvious sight because they're too distracted at the curls too look at my face or anywhere below (which I like, because people checking me out makes me feel sick.), but when it's straight, I wear it in a ponytail or something, and eyes wander. It annoys me.

I look 16 at least when my hair is straight.

I definitely get more attention with my curly hair! Sometimes i see guys looking at it and occasionally they ask if its natural. and that makes me happy. I used to wear it in a really tight ponytail and u couldn't even tell it was curly so everyone was really surprised when i started wearing it natural in sixth grade. So yeah curly is way better!
Bah, I hate it when people expect the typical "perfect straight hair."

I get more attention from girls with curly hair, (how do you do that? is that natural?) and more attention from guys with straight (more sexy apparently.) My boyfriend used to love my hair straight because he could play with it and run his fingers through it and stuff, but he thinks the curls are cool because theyre diffferent.

Mind you this will probably sound a tad strange, but have u ever had a problem with like hugging a guy wth ur curly hair? Like if he hasnt shaved in three days, ur hair kinda...clings? lol that has happened to me, i was totally embaressed while my boyfriend just kinda laughed it off and thought it was cute how embaressed i got...
Well, school starts on Tuesday for me. First day of high school, and the first day anyone in my school will ever see me with curly hair. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see what people think, right? If the guy I've been crushing on since 7th grade randomly asks me out, I'll take it as a sign. :)

A question: what was it like for you when you hand your grand "debut" of curly hair? I'm somewhat of a nervous wreck, because I've always (irrationally) cared so much about what people think of me.
More guys take notice when it's straight, and I agree, it does make me look more mature.

But I love my natural curls, because it's me.
i have a wonderful boyfriend of 3 years and he says that my curly hair attracted me to him, if it wasnt for my curly hair i wouldnt have him
Curly, definitely. I've heard tons of guys say that curly hair stands out more and it makes a girl seem more "fun" (whatever that means). O_o
Mostly when my hair is curly, if it's straight it looks fried and unnatural, unless I barrel iron the ends to get bigger curls.

I like that my hair has become something to recognize me by. I don't take much offense to hearing friends say:

"Do you know Isabelle? You know, the one with the big hair?"

So I think guys notice me and remember me more since I have a distinct look
Well my boyfriend said he first noticed me *because* my hair was curly (as it always is) and that it was a nice change from all the pin-straight he usually sees.
And yet all the "popular girls" wear their hair straight.

I don't know, I think it's when I'm going curly because it stands out. Which I like
