Huh so can't wait for the movie. I read all the books and the end was the best ever. I'm so thrill. Will definitely be watching so I can compared it to the book. The author is actually involved in the production, directing and in the casting of the movie plus I want to see how Jennifer Lawrence deliver as katniss. So excited lol

I'm super excited for the movie, too! I talked my mom into going to the midnight showing with my sister and I, and now we got our FSIL to go, too! It should be a fun night.

Honestly, I think the third book was perfect. The author has a good grip on what war and PTSD does to people, and she really stuck with that. I see her characters in many of my friends who have done one too many tours in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Unfortunately, the series tends to be portrayed as a love story that takes place in a war. It would be better off portrayed as a war story that just happens to have a love triangle.

I just got back. I really enjoyed the movie. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty freaking awesome, in my opinion!
Now, time to attempt to go to sleep...

I really liked the movie, but I need to see it again.
They did a pretty good job considering the book is a first person narrative. Also, they did a good job considering the PG-13 limitations.
For me, there was one minor leave-out, one major leave-out, and some add ins, that, for me, added to the story.
I need some time to process and digest before going into detail. Also, the thread isn't spoiler marked, so I don't want to do spoilers.
I liked the acting from everyone.

Oh, and oddly, there were so few costumes folk that a guy from the Post Gazette interviewed me in my measly Cinna shirt and mockingjay pin.
There was one badass Effie. Many Katniss haired girls, but only one in full gear. There was more HP costuming tonight.

Ok so on twitter and tumblr people are saying rue and thresh being black ruined the whole movie, why are people being racists when the book clearly described both character as black?? Can u guys all give ur opinion, its not because I'm black or anything. But if u think about it katniss was described as olive skin and straight hair but yet Jen was giving the part, who happened to be blond, no one is upset about that but they clearly missed the part of the book that described rue and thresh as black. In addition people said if they knew rue was black they wouldn't have cried over her death like wtf so because she black her death is not worth crying over?? While other claimed the best part of the book is giving to black people huh confused?? Any opinion ladies??

I loved the first book, couldn't put it down.
The second and third books though, ok but not great. The third one was very disappointing, too much crammed in to finish it.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!
(Still reading?)
I just finished the last book (Mockingjay)! It was great, but I was deeply saddened when Finnick died! I cried like a baby. I was actually starting to like him. I felt that his character developed (he was nothing like the spoiled/self-centered guy I thought him to be in Catching Fire). I just don't understand the reason why he had to die. :'(
