Official Harry Potter Thread-w/movie spoilers

I loved it too. I think every HP movie has and will come with quibbles, but understandbly so. I really wish Rita Skeeter could have been featured more! I honestly didn't like Dumbledore in this movie... he just did a lot that wasn't true to his character, like throwing Harry against a wall and screaming at him after his name showed up in the goblet of fire.

My friends and I (with our "Potter is hotter" t-shirts) went to the theater a little after 2 on Friday to wait in line for the first showing in my town at 5:30. We were one of the first in line (it's a small town), and had fun playing cards and talking with the other HP fans. The audience was great. First time Ron said his famous phrase and everyone burst out laughing. Actually, they laughed at practically everything. But it was a good feeling to be among so many HP lovers.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has said.

I think this Dumbledore is HORRIBLE. Other than that, it's not bad. Dan R. has improved. Hopefully he'll learn to fake cry someday? I still can't wait to find out why the color of Harry's eyes matter, and if they do anything about that in the movies, since they didn't give Dan green contacts.

I, of course, miss many parts which weren't in the movie, but it's by far my favorite so far.
The pews never miss a sermon but that doesn't get them one step closer to Heaven.

But at least the pews never attend yoga!
JKR said the color doesn't matter, it just matters that he has his mother's eyes.

Gambon is AWFUL! He said he didn't read the books, and just plays himself dressed up as a wizard. GRRRR.

I dunno when the next book is due. I read on J.K. Rowlings hompage and I don't think she has started writing it yet. She is taking a break to take care of her new baby.

I can't wait though. Sad that is will be the last one. I will miss them all.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I've seen pictures from the Goblet of Fire movie, and Harry's hair is way too long! Ron's too! This really irks me.

Eww!

One more thing: J.K.Rowling homepage is a really good place to find the right answers on the rumors going around out there. She answers them herself.

Now I'll be quiet.

I cannot venture over to the new thread yet, because I've not yet read GoF. But I did want to post this regarding the mirror Sirius gave Harry.

I actually like the long hair. Especially on Won-Won.

Back when I went to see PoA with some friends of mine, during the opening scene with Harry, I leaned over to my friend Maia and said, "Um, he's looking pretty good!" Then of course she had to tell her boyfriend Ben and he got to tease me later about how I had a thing for Harry.

I'm waaay too old to be thinking along those lines, but I guess a girl can look. I think Ron/Rupert's looking pretty good these days too, actually!
going back to HBP for a moment, I read it again and now I'm torn. The first (and second) times I read it, I was convinced that Snape was evil, and Dumbledore really dead. But now... and I fully blame my Philosophy of Religion class from last semester, since taking that class, I question every little detail, I am wondering if maybe Snape is not so evil. I do still think Dumbledore is dead.

I have not seen GOF, and as an obstinately fundamentalist HP fan, I refuse to pay $8 to see some "adaptation." Thus I will wait until it comes out on video, or until some cute guy wants to take me. =)

I think that maybe Snape is now set up to be able to help Harry more. Being good looking infront of Voldemort. But who knows.
My friend Meg and I was talking about it and she mentioned that Harry saw Snape and Dumbledore argue there at some time in the book...She has a theory that maybe Dubledore told Snape he had to kill him so he could help Harry or something..and Snape didn't want to. But who knows. I am so bummed that Dumbledore is dead. *sniff*

Found this Therapy page here: http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com/introduction.html

I've created this web site for Harry Potter fans who were just as upset as I was upon first reading the new book, to help them understand and feel better about the mysterious "death" of Dumbledore. Think of this site as Half-Blood Prince therapy.
I've seen the site... I still think he really might be dead.

Just out of curiosity, how do you guys pronounce Felix Felicis? My friends and I can't agree. Then again, I'm not always very good at pronunciation of spells and names.... I used to say Hermione, Her-mee-own. (That was elementary school though! :P )

The "Do Not Disturb" sign is supposedly off the door... I can't even get the web page to come up, so if anyone gets in, TELL me what's in there!!!
