On the JK Rowling website. I finally got the front page to load, but for me, it still has the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door (if you click the eraser on her desk).

Someone recommended jkrowling.org, and that worked for me, thanks for asking.
Any idea what to do with the two bottles of ink?

Oh...those aren't what you need to get into the room. I don't remember how many drops of which-I think they made the plant grow or something....

I had no idea where to post this, but my friend brought up this site during lunch.
www.ihateharrypotter.com
It's actually not an Anti-Harry site, but more of a recomendation for other Fantasy books. I thought a few of you may want to check it out.

*screams* OMG!!! I found a Harry Potter thread! I am so never leaving this site!
BTW, anybody notice how in the 4th movie all the guys were really hot? Malfoy was soooo sexy, when he was human of course. Cedric wasn't the best actor for the job, but he had his hottie camera angles. I'm usually not a Harry (Dan) girl, but he looks darn good too - heck, Ron has big muscles! I almost died when the covers moved!
His hair is too long, though.

I'm soooooo excited!!! And it's still 7 months away - SIGH. There's been an HP drought for far too long.

I'm not sure... I've read things about the book being released 7-7-07, but I think those are just rumors.

My friend just told me that in Duluth they have the Hogwarts Express bring the books in to town at midnight. How cool is that?!?!
Guess where we'll be at 12:01 July 21st?

I'm beyond excited!!! I was expecting a November or December release date!! Although I'm slightly disappointed that the book and movie release date are so close - I'd like to spread the HP love out a little bit, ya know? But still, YAY!

Ok, so anyone want to discuss horcrux theories?
I'm rereading, starting with book 1.
Dumbledore says that Quirrel and Voldemort were sharing a soul. Voldemort couldn't have made Quirrel into a horcrux in the state he was in, I don't think - but could he have required Quirrel use a horcrux so Voldemort could be part of him like that?

I don't think so. I think the horcruxes (horcruxi?) were almost all made before his fall - the exception being Nagini, but we don't know when he got his snake companion. Maybe he had her all along and we just didn't see her until we saw more of him.
I want to re-read them, but I don't actually own them... but I did tell my friends from Barnes & Noble (I used to work there) that if they wanted, they could all get together and buy me the whole boxed set for my wedding. you know, if they wanted to.
So re-cap, we know about the locket, the diary, and the ring. Diary and ring destroyed, locket is somewhere out there (I think it's the locket mentioned in the fifth book), and probably the missing artifacts from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. That's horcruxi 1-5, so we just need to know number 6, right? We know it's not Godric's sword, and Dumbledore hypothesized that Nagini could be the other one - if there are only six. I think there are only six, with the seventh remaining in the body. I do think book seven will be completely action-packed and I can't wait!

JKR has been doing the founders as her Wizards of the Month for the past few months. She had Helga Hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin. Each of them were holding their relic (cup and locket). This month is Godric Gryffindor, holding his sword, so the theory is that August will be Rowena Ravenclaw, because her relic is the only one that is still a mystery. To be revealed in Book 7!

Hrm, I wonder if it will be a wand? Like the tarot minor arcana?
sword
pentacle/coin
cup
wand/rod
[Thinking locket = pentacle/coin in this instance.]
Here is the symbology for each, although I re-read the sorting hat's song from the first book and they don't seem to match up to each house's characteristics.
sword
intellect
pentacle/coin
resources, material wealth
cup
emotions and love
wand/rod
intuition
