What the ****!!! Looked at my Amazon account today and the expected arrival of Harry Potter is July 26th thru July 29th.
This is why I preordered from them in February?

I think my friends and ex-coworkers from Barnes & Noble are getting me the box set of all seven for my wedding, which means I won't get it until August 4th. And I probably won't get to start it until at least after the 5th, because my fiance probably doesn't want me to spend our wedding night curled up with a book. *sigh*

I have a question about the whole dead wizard thing. In Dumbledore's office, there was a picture of Phineas Nigellus Black on the wall as well as old headmasters. Sometimes they would talk to Harry and Dumbledore when Harry had his private lessons. If Harry just had a picture of Dumbledore and Sirius, could he just talk to them throught the picture and get advice?

angiecurls, you're right and I believe at the end of The Half Blood Prince, Dumbledore is in a picture hanging on the wall of his office.

Yeah, I finished Deathly Hallows yesterday, and....

SPOILER ALERT

There is some communication between a character and Dumbledore's picture.

OMG! I am addicted to HP! Up until July, I had only seen the HP movies. OotP movie looked so intriguing to me that I decided it was time to read the whole series. I already had all the books in HB waiting to be read (I am an avid reader with many books in my queue). I also had DH on preorder since Feb. and was eagerly awaiting its release.

So in 6 1/2 weeks, I managed to read ALL 7 books. Each school year got better than the last. I didn't want to do anything else while reading them. I loved them so much that I immediately started to reread them, but this time on audio CD while I drive to work (long commute) and clean house (OH I love my iPod). This time I will be able to pick up all the little clues along the way. I have never before been sooo preoccupied by a book. Therefore I will have to say, that HP is my favorite book of all-time.

And can I say MOLLY WEASLEY RULES!!

I love Jim Dale! He really "gets" each character. I was actually quite disappointed with Umbridge in the movie because she wasn't as annoying as he had voiced her to be!

For whatever reason I was completely against reading the HP series or watching the movies.. I think because I've never been into wizardry, magic, or anything fantasy related and I assumed I would automatically hate it..

Well... I'm 1/2 way done with the 3rd book and I've watched 5 movies so far..

I'm officially hooked on Harry. Why didn't anyone tell me how awesome it is?

We all told you, you just weren't listening :P

Read the books, the movies suck apart from the last one - that was awesome

Also congrats on reading the first couple - a lot of adults won't bothering trying to get past them because they are very much aimed at younger readers but the books get better and better and more adult too
