Default Indiscretion; Charles Dubow

Yesterday, I took this book out at the library. Since the semester is over, I try to read a lot of books during my college breaks. This book was in the 'new books' aisle at the library- so I figured I would try it. My attitude was pretty non-chalant.

I could not put the book down, it was so good, I read it in 7 hours. I recommend this to anyone looking for a new read! Putting simply, it is about a man and wife who 'have it all' and a young woman comes around, whom they take under their wing. However, character's decisions, drastically change each of their lives.

If you look up the term indiscretion, it will give you more of an idea what the book's plot is. I loved it. It had numerious turns, and was so...raw. I wouldn't recomment this book for a young adolescent for it has sexual themes, just laying it out in case someone doesn't like that at all.

If I had to give it a rating between 1-10, I would give it a 9. The only reason for not a 10 is because there was some parts, that deeply didn't have much to do with the entire book, that did make it a bit boring. Other than that, it was a huge page turner. I can't stop thinking about it, and wish I could discuss to others who have read it. I want to dwelve more deeply into these characters lives and talk about it. Dubow's writing gave a very realistic conversation style. That is what I loved, it was as if the characters were right in front of you. Being an extremely avid reader, I hate to say I have never read The Great Gatsby but the style and somewhat story-line is similar. That is what a lot of readers have claimed.

Please, if you HAVEN'T read the book, try it. If you HAVE, please respond and give me some details on what YOU thought. I would love to have a discussion about this book. So for the readers who HAVEN'T read this, don't read the comments for their might be spoilers.
