City of Bones by Cassandra Clare?

Has anyone else read these? They're really awesome, but no one I know has ever heard of this trilogy. It's a wonder to me how something like Twilight becomes so popular it an instant and this trilogy is practically unknown.

But on that note, I need to discuss this trilogy. It's driving me crazy to have no one to talk about it with.

I started the trilogy on Wednesday, and I'm on the third book now, on Saturday. I can't remember the last book series that had me so enthralled, besides Harry Potter.

ETA: I just finished this trilogy. Please, go read it. I loved it so much. You'll be wishing that it wasn't just a trilogy.

I've read them.

I enjoyed them but they didn't quite satisfy me. They felt too much like fanfiction. Like the author wasn't quite ready to write proper novels.

I wasn't that impressed with the newest one, I felt like I was reading the same books again, apparent CC has trouble writing/developing new characters. Which is a shame.
I LOVE this series. It's my all time favorite series, hands down. Actually the Hunger Games series is up there, but whatever. AND CLARY IS CURLY GIRL (I think Magnus might be too! AND Tessa from Clockwork Angel!)!
Hair Type: I was thinking thick, fine 3A, but honestly I have no clue! I do know I have a super flat top, and frizz on the sides.
No - Poo Shampoo: Kiss My Face Whenever Shampoo
Conditioner: Burt's Bees More Moisture Condish

If you want adult you have to tell me a bit more about what you like.

The new book is out very soon

Its actually book 4 to the original trilogy, instead of book 2 of the second trilogy, the Mortal Instruments. A friend told me it focuses far more on Simon.

I may have to re-read these before getting the new one - not sure I can remember everything that happened.

Also - the cover artwork is dire. Seriously. If I hadn't read these before and been told by a close friend how much she liked them, I would have avoided them because they look cheesy and tacky. In a world with so many great illustrators available why would you get a cheap cover like that?!! Sigh.

So - is anyone else planning to get this?
