Default Re: Texture survey

I just thought of something I didn't mention in the comments of the survey. I noticed that the 2's have a generic all 2 board, as in it's not separated into 2a, 2b, 2c, etc. Can that be done for the 3s and 4s category? Or would that be something that should be put to a vote?

Just a thought.. wanted to put it out there.

So you would prefer just a 4 board instead of 4a, 4b? etc?

I'm happy to do whatever everyone wants!

I like this idea. I'm a combo 2c/3a but spend much more time on the 2s forum because it's more active- maybe having all of the sub-types together has something to do with that. (Although I know 4a is very active already).

I think just a 4 board would be less confusing. No sub categories.

Yeah, I think it could work because there is often so much confusion over "subcategories" one might fit into. And also many people are a combo or more than one type.. so maybe consolidating the major types would cut down on peoples' confusion.

ETA: Thank you Gretchen and Michelle for always being open to suggestions!

I noticed that about the 2 board and never minded it; I don't think there's a lot of difference between us.

Yes, yes and yes!!!! This is exactly what I've been thinking. I would love this. Can we put this out there for a vote or for others opinions like the mod CG proposal?!?!

I'd be really worried about losing the 4a board since it has sort of a special place now.

But I'd definitely like to hear more comments on the proposal to combine all the 3s into one and all the 4s into one. Someone can do some polls, if she likes.

I think combining each hair texture would be better. When I first came onto this site, I was confused by all the sub-categories. I do spend most time in the 3b section, now that I know how to use it lol. I don't think switching to just an overall 3 board is a bad idea either
