Default More wavy content/ bloggers/ vloggers please!

I am feeling a little left out .... the NC wavy haired blogger Alyssa Hawkins has not posted an article since March 2012, the NC YouTube channel is heavily focussed on (gorgeous) African-American ladies with type 3 or 4 hair. Even Waterlily716 has a far stronger curl pattern than mine; looking outside NC.com both Jessica McGuinty (Jessicurl) and Lorraine Massey (Deva) have much curlier hair than us!

I would love to see more video reviews of products in the Curl Mart on wavy girls, for some curly ranges there isn't anyone with fine or 2s hair reviewing them. Which CG friendly products and techniques to get clumps and reduce pouf/ fluff without weighing the hair right down with water and product weight. Coming from a science background I love Tonya McKay's articles, of course Waterlily716, also enjoy watching Curlywavydiane on YouTube.

Thank you!

Hey!

Waterlily is actually studying abroad!! She will be back soon (she may be back already...) As soon as she's all rested up, we'll be sure to snag her for some articles and reviews again!

We're also trying to find more wavy vloggers on Youtube. Proving difficult, so if you have some favorites already please let me know!

Thank you for your reply, it is much appreciated!

I can certainly understand finding someone suitable is a challenge, there are not so many of us wavies. As stated in my first post I rate Curlywavydiane because she comes over as very 'human', genuine and chatty curlywavydiane - YouTube

MelissaJenna is a weak wavy with a lot of subscribers
MJ Says - Melissa Jenna Godsey - YouTube
I would definitely subscribe to Chupie's or Neleke's channel if they started doing videos.

OK, I made a test vlog. You made me figure out how to do this stuff. It actually turned out to be not as daunting as I thought to just try. Remember its a test!

Thanks! I'm glad you think so especially since I just jumped up and did it kind of like "on a dare". I really am a little disappointed there aren't more wavies and especially wavies "of a certain age" out there!

I realized this site is geared more towards those with tighter curl patterns and I respect that. I understand that there aren't as many 2s on the boards as 3s and 4s, but I do think the active wavies would benefit from more wavy content. As far as products and information on haircare I am satisfied... however styling techniques for those with tighter curl patterns don't always work on my hair.

I think it's great wavies such as Chupie are taking the initiative to vlog about wavy hair!

I have an iPod tough 4g and the camera quality isn't that great, but I think I will start filming videos with it... Would it be ok with the bad quality?

I'd just start. See how it goes. You can work up to a different camera later.

Agreed! I've been searching for wavy hair Youtubers and our content editor Cristina has wavy hair (recently chopped her waist length waves into a pixie cut!!) and we're working hard to develop more wavy hair content. Will check out the video link provided in this thread for sure! You can check out our youtube channel called naturallycurlydotcom and see Cristina's videos we have about 2 or 3 of her recently.

Also: if you're not hanging out with us on facebook, please do!! every day, people post their photos and share them. The discussions in the comments are awesome and we usually ask those ladies to be featured in our Real Texture Talk series!
