Automatically Logging Out

I have to constantly log in then re-log in every time I go to a different forum. Why is this happening??

Allibama 10-09-2013 02:12 PM

Hi Marixpress - will you please email me at alli@naturallycurly.com with your login and email address so that I can have dev further research this issue for you?

Thank you!

Thanks, Alli!! <3

Marixpress: everything sorted out? I've been out of the office for a while. Let me know!

I'm having a similar issue, but it's site-wide. When I'm on the main CurlTalk page and I click the Sign In link in the top black bar, it never shows me as signed, nor does it give me any kind of error. However, in the main body of the CurlTalk page, it'll show "Welcome, Geek_Chic" and I'm able to post threads, get into the UserCP, etc. as if I'm logged in.

If I use the black bar to sign in on the nc.com homepage, it shows me as signed in afterward. If I then click to go to the Frizz Forecast, an article, products section, or CurlTalk, the black bar shows me as signed out, though I can still post in CurlTalk as if I was signed in.

I use Windows 7 and Firefox, if that helps in diagnosing.

I have the same problem as Geek_Chic, too.

Another issue... I clicked the link for the new Flaxseed vs. Aloe Vera Gel article, and a dialog box popped up saying the page was a restricted area and required authentication (though I'm signed in on Curltalk, the rest of the site thinks I'm not). When I typed in my correct username and password, the same box simply popped up again asking for authentication. I was able to click the cancel button in the box and read the article, but the box thing is annoying.

Hi ladies! As you will see (or maybe have seen already), we just had a redesign of the homepage. This has been the source of the glitches you're talking about. I had that issue come up too with the authentication page. If it happens today, please let me know. We are in heavy "fix bugs because of the redesign" mode :coffee: lol

Thanks for the response, Evelyn. I sent you a pm about a slight issue I had when I came on tonight.

I had same issue. I would be signed inn on Curltalk but not the rest of the site.

Geek_Chic 11-14-2013 09:33 PM

I can sign in elsewhere on the site, but I only stay logged in on CurlTalk.

update: sending all your usernames to tech so they can dive in and see what the problem is. although I suspect that it's happening to a lot more people (me included). I'll report back here once I get word that it's been fixed. There's also another new thread in Feedback about this same thing and I'll post there as well.

Geek_Chic 11-18-2013 09:24 PM

Appreciate the update. :) Thank you.

atx_eve 11-19-2013 09:29 AM

Tech asked me to recreate the problem for them so they can see it in action, not after the fact. And wouldn't ya know it -- I didn't get booted off this time. I promised them we're not crazy! lol so if this happens to y'all again today, please let me know:
  • If you're on mobile/tablet or desktop
  • The order of the pages your visited (ex: I went on the homepage, logged on, went to CurlTalk, then visited the articles page when I noticed I wasn't logged in anymore)

Geek_Chic 11-19-2013 10:01 AM

:disgust: Tech problems can be tricksy beasts. I spend most of my time on CurlTalk, which isn't being a problem, but if I get a chance I'll log out and play with login stuff.
