Is this site different to anyone else. It's huge to me. Very different.

From Michael Berg:

Every person has a unique connection to the Creator that can never be extinguished, and every person has a great soul that can manifest important things in our world. To make a person feel less than they are because of something inside themselves, be it faith, race, or sexual orientation, is the greatest sin of all."

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

I'm seeing topics with new posts in bold again. Did they change it or is it because I'm on a different computer? Much better now.

If I go in from the main list of forums, some are bolded in here. As soon as I come out of a thread though, they are all plain.

I don't do change well, but eventually I get used to it. That said, the new forum format here is VERY hard on my eyes -- too bright -- and it all runs together. Looks like a mess. Difficult to follow quoted areas in posts from the rest of the post. Maybe they chose this to help pages load better? But it's TERRIBLE trying to follow the thread and differentiate one post from another. So I have to give the new format a thumbs down for now.

Ugh. No. Just no. This design is absolutely awful. Too much white space which had given me a headache just reading this one thread. I've already stopped looking at anything on the main Naturally Curly website because the layout is so horrid and impossible to navigate. I won't be spending much time here in the forums either if you keep it like this. It's too stressful on the eyes, and my eyes are damaged enough, thank you very much.

How about if you just go back to vBulletin? Nice, clean, simple. And, most importantly, it's user friendly.

It is very difficult to read (esp. quotes and who is posting what). I m sorry to say this, because I know there is a lot of work behind.
Hope you can fix it.
Thanks!

Are there any updates about making the requested changes?

I am a disappointed that I can now only read the board for maybe two or three minutes due the all white layout.

Thanks

Also one of my favorite features when I clicked the "New Posts" link previously, was that I could "go to" a certain page number. Gone now. Would really like to see that feature again.

here is something else i noticed - some of the purple format headings are darker than others. for awhile i thought the darker ones were ones that had new posts since i was on, but no, it doesn't seem to make any sense. some are light, some are dark, some i've been on recently, some not in months.....

???

this layout is soooo very confusing and difficult to navigate. as others have stated, i can only stay on for a few minutes at a time.

I had to use a color sampling Firefox addon to be sure there was a color change on the main CurlTalk page. It looks like the font size on unread forums is a little larger than those that don't have unread posts, but again, it's not enough of a size difference to make it obvious which is which.

I didn't mince words either and said exactly how I feel about it, I HATE IT! Whoever came up with that absurd idea did not take into account that the glare of a monitor is ALREADY bad enough, so using an entirely white background is adding insult to injury, it's very bad for the sight and completely esthetically unappealing, a similar thing happened at a crochet site where I used to go and without even intending to it's discouraged me from going back there... but sadly "geeks" very often can't see beyond whatever it was they were trying to achieve.

Anyway, I hope that more people who do NOT like this "new" format will express their feelings so we can go back to what we had before.

Eh....I don't like it either. Like everyone else has said, it is hard on my eyes. Too much white, that's for sure. Hard to navigate and I can't tell which posts I've read or not. I was hoping it was just my computer at first, but sadly, no.

The site has now become really hard to read due to the amount of whiteness.

Even though the old forum was out-dated it was easy to use because there was enough contrast between different parts of someone's post e.g. the poster's details, signature, quotes, likes

In addition when someone quotes a post it now takes up a larger proportion of their own post than what they actually write in reply.

It's fine using two colours but the colours need to contrast enough and have lots of shades in between so people can easily distinguish parts of posts. When I've helped choose colours for software applications I always try and find people with visual problems varying from colour blindness to simply being long sighted to give advice/help. Generally if they can see things clearly then people with "normal" vision can.

Luckily I mostly read this forum from my phone so I can avoid these visual issues.

Hello? Is anyone reading this?
3b (with 3c tendencies) on modified CG

Wondering that too @spiderlashes!

I don't hate the new look – a lot of things are sleeker, but I agree it's too much white and there needs to be something to bring it up. Also we need ways to better differentiate different posts / segregate quotes so they're easy to follow.

How do you get to the latest post? It used to take you there when you clicked on the icon in the front of the subject. Now, no matter what I do it takes me to post #1.
Yeah, this is bad. The rest I can deal with. No bueno having to find the last post read.
