Default Helloooooo Mr. Tech guy....

Hey man, what is up with all of the problems on the board? Why can't I access the site through firefox anymore? That's sucky. That "ad.tuition.." ad thingy was what was trying to run when the board ultimately just crashed altogether on me. Any reason why I wouldn't be able to access through firefox anymore? Did that ad mess up my browser somehow??

Are you back in now? But you still can't use Firefox? What browser does work for you? Are you on Mac? PC?

Is this all over NC or just on CurlTalk?

We disabled AdTuition several days ago, and would like to troubleshoot the rest of the problem.

Is anyone else seeing similar issues?

(Whew! Sorry for the grilling! We're just trying to sort things out. And, of course, I'm so sorry for the troubles.)

Hey Gretchen,
I am using mozilla. (which I don't think is technically a browser anymore, since firefox took over or whatever.) But I still had the old mozilla browser, and I can't really browse with it, but if I type nc.com into the address bar, I can get in.

Firefox still doesn't work. I downloaded the new version of firefox, and that didn't fix it either.

The rest of NC looks weird, but I can still read most stuff. It's just in Curltalk, all of my buttons are missing and I can't see avatars. I can't post replies, I can't even start new topics now. I can't do anything.

My operating system is Windows XP.

thanks!

I hope the AdTuition is gone for good.
It was difficult to use the "back arrow because "adtuition" kept adding pages. I thought it was some kind of a virus and tried to get rid of it on my computer, but it didn't work.

We are all mystified. We've made a few tweaks here and there, but I'm guessing you're not "fixed" or we'd have heard happy news.

We'll keep poking around.
