WOW! My wonderful results of low-pooing!!

After finding that my hair was very frizzy and dull, I decided to start to low-poo with Giovanni TTT shampoo and stop co-washing. WOW! My hair is now drastically softer and my curls have tightened. As another member had said before, I'm pretty sure that what happened was that the low-poo cleaned out all of the build-up and gave the conditioner a better chance of "clinging."

Overall, I recommend low-pooing for anyone on the curly girl method that is now seeing the results that they had hoped for. And anyway, if it doesn't work, you can always go back to only using conditioner!

What's this about conditioner clinging? haven't heard that before.
I like to low poo. I gave up CO-washing. My hair gets easily over-conditioned. I have fine-textured hair, so I think that's why.
That's right, I said it! I wear scrunchies!!

I am a sulfate washing, cone slabbing, curly lovin' s.o.b. The CG police haven't caught me yet.

I only co-wash every 2-3 days, and low poo once a week, and love my results. Everyones hair is different though. When I first went CG more than 10 years ago, I had a lot of problems with my hair being overconditioned. I tried desperately for 3-4 months, and then gave up. I really think it was something that I was doing wrong. Think I was using too much conditioner to wash my scalp, and possibly the wrong products for my hair.

Low sulphate shampoo once a week:
Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo

Rinse Out Conditioner - used only when needed - Elucence Moisture Benefits, & KCKT

Leave-in - used only when needed - KCKT

Co-wash- Elucence Moisture Benefits Conditioner (about 1-2 a week).

Stylers: KCKT, Eco-Styler Gel, AG:Recoil, FSG.

Styling: Raking and smoothing product throughout hair and then the Super Soaker Method without the Denman.
Yea I heard the term "conditioner clinging" by another member (can't really think of the username, sorry!). It basically means that if you have a lot of conditioner in your hair, the conditioner that you use won't attach to the strand as easily as it would if there was no conditioner on the hair strand.

Thank you everyone for the feedback!

Clinging conditioner, this sounds like what happens to my hair when it is in need of a low poo.
