For folks on here to help. you need to be more specific about how your hair is--condition, texture, porosity, elasticity, length, type of curl. That way they can make some recommendations on what to take, how to do your hair, for minimal products and maximum "control".
I think if it's long enough, you need to consider things like braids and half-ups and updos to keep things out of your face during activities. And you want a minimal routine that can keep you looking fine for a few days at a time (and maybe just one product or two that don't need to be coddled). One conditioner you can use to wash and rinse out and leave-in, and one product to help you style (a curl creme, a gel, a gellie), so it's fuss-free.
I'd start thinking of hair accessories, if I were you and check what the dewpoints and conditions are in the place you're going at that time you're going.
