Healthy Gel

I'm looking for a gel that is not going to damage my hair. I have been using ecostyler, I've tried them all, I really like them but I feel like they are drying my hair. I'm willing to spend a little more money I just want to make sure that whatever I buy is worth it. Any suggestions?

Teri Laflesh's book "Curly Like Me" sits on my desk and everytime I get frustrated and an impulse tells me to shave my head, I look at it in hopes that one day my hair will graze the top of my butt.

Kinky Curly Curling Custard
Devacurl Angel
Flax seed gel
Theraneem Leaf and Aloe Vera gel

Best to use a leave in or leave in conditioner underneath gel.

Playing with my hair is a hobby. Fluffy, fine natural 4a. Goal= Healthy, beautiful hair that retains its length.
Hear that crash? It's me falling off the CG wagon.
I find no matter what gel I use, if I dont put in leave in and tons of curl cream, my hair will feel ultra dry. Try a good mouisturizing curl cream followed by an alcohol free gel. I use Biotera curl cream followed by Bioter gel or CVS's version of LA looks curl gel (both alcohol free).
3b/3c. S curls with coils at the end. Normol porosity. Medium texture, super elastic... Barely SL, hoping to go BSL.

Water wash
RO: Garnier Triple Nutrition.
Leave in: Suave naturals coconut
Styling products: Biotera curling cream with a few drops of honey.
DT: I'm experimenting.

I <3 satin XD
I agree with the comment that adding a leave-in before the gel will help prevent dryness.

Are you using a leave-in? If not, this could be the problem...

As far as gels... I really like CJ Aloe Fix.
It gives medium hold and really soft curls
I haven't experienced dryness with this gel

CG Method

Type: 3b
Porous, normal elasticity, and coarse texture

Cowash: CJ Daily Fix
Styling: CJ, jojoba oil, KCCC
DT: CJ Curl Rehab, CR Algae Deep conditioner
I've never had a problem with dryness, as I use a texturizer underneath my gel, but at the moment I'm using Herbal Essences Set Me Up Gel.

Anyone know if Dippity Doo is CG approved? My mom told me about it, and I know it's been around for a long time. I'd like to give it a shot

I always use a leave in under my gel. I have tried drug store brands as well as more end lines. I think I have found a few great leave ins but the gel is te problem. The clear ecostyler is drying my hair up. When I used the dark protein one I had no problem.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I will try all of them.
