Default ACV rinse: your ACV-water ratio? what's your ACV routine?

Everyone has their own way of doing this. I'm always afraid of using too much vinegar and drying out my hair too much. What's your ACV to water ratio? How long do you leave it on before rinsing? How often do you do it? Do you do it as a final step or do you condition afterwards?

I pour about 2-tablespoons of vinegar into a cup, then fill the rest of the cup with water. I leave it in as long as i can stand the smell (no more than 5 minutes), then rinse and condition.

I said "other" because I sort of do both. I comb my conditioner through at the start of my shower and leave it in while I do everything else, then co-wash last (with the conditioner still in). When I ACV I do this, do the ACV rinse, then finger-comb through a little bit more conditioner and rinse.

As for my ratio, I filled a 32 oz. bottle with 1 part ACV to 4 parts filtered water.

I have a measuring bowl that I use. I pour in hot water, pour a few splashes of vinegar in then dunk my head for about twenty seconds. After that I pour the rest over my head, scrub it in then let it sit for about five minutes before rinsing and going on with the rest of my routine. Although I eyeball it (just like when I cook), my ratio is about 2 TBSP vinegar to 8 oz water.

I do a vinegar rinse about once a week. I wet my hair, put about 1/4 cup of vinegar (any kind) in a big mug of warm water, dump it on my hair, scrunch it around for a few minutes, rinse. Then I condition wash and put in my gel.
I've used vinegar for over 30 years and have never had a problem with it drying out my hair.

Thanks! I've been concerned about it, since when I just do a couple of tablespoons, I don't see a difference. Once when I got overconditioned (slept w/one c in my hair) I did a rinse with 1/4 cup of ACV in 2 cups of water. It worked then, but I've been afraid to use that much since. Think I'll try it again today.

That's the same ratio I use - 1/4 cup vinegar to 1 cup water, although I only use about 1/3 of the mixture each time. Also about once per week for me. I wet my hair, pour the ACV mix on and scrub as if I were co-washing. Then I rinse very well, *then* I condition. I leave the conditioner on a couple of minutes and rinse. I tend towards over-conditioning, so I rinse as much out as I can.

I put 2 tablespoons vinegar in a litre of cold water.
I pour on my hair after rìnsing out conditioner, as a last rinse. I don't rinse again after.

I use 2 tbs ACV/ 2cups warm water. Dunk my length into the cup, then I pour it all over my hair. Wait a minute, swoosh it around a bit. Rinse, then condition as usual.
