what is the lightest/least greasy oil?

Hi, I am looking for somthing to seal my hair to lock in moisture such as an oil. But I need something light enough that won't weigh down my waves because they are already loose. Any suggestions?

Sunflower oil or safflower oil. They both should be in your local supermarket.

Both are light, have no odor, and don't leave the hair greasy.
I like jojoba oil but I don't know how it compares to other oils since it's the only one I've used.
3b. Normal porosity. Medium texture. Low elasticity.

CONDITIONERS: GVP The Detangler, Tresemme Naturals Nourishing, CJ Curl Rehab, CJ Hibiscus & Banana Honey Butta, Suave Pomegranate Splash, KC Knot Today

LEAVE-IN: Shea Moisture Shea Butter (LOVE!)

STYLERS: CJ Curl Queen (LOVE!), Biotera Gel, LA Looks Sports Gel, AOMM
The lightest one for me is coconut oil. With any oil, it's always possible to apply too much and have greasy hair, but for me it's less likely with coconut. My hair just drinks it up. LOVE that stuff!
Jojoba is the most non-occlusive, breathable oil supposedly.
Type: 3c with some 4a highlighted

I have fine hair and coconut oil totally weighs me down. I like jojoba slightly more. Grapeseed, too.

Just use a teensy tiny tiny bit of whatever oil you use. A teensy bit then rubbed together in hands and very gently/lightly applied and stay away from roots.

Grapeseed oil is very light, but it has a short shelf life. Safflower oil is good too, and has a little longer shelf life. It doesn't get mentioned a lot, but soybean oil is actually a great oil for hair because of the amount of oleic and linoleic acids, and the vitamin e in it. I guess it would be considered a medium weight oil. Go to a health food store to get better quality if you don't want to order from a supplier.

Macadamia nut oil is similar to sebum and absorbs easily, but it is expensive. Meadowfoam seed oil is awesome, but is VERY expensive.

I hope that was helpful...

Coconut oil is pretty light for me. It's pretty versatile, IMO. If I need heavier oil I just apply more. I leave it on overnight regardless of how much I use.
