How do you use LALSG?

Hi! I just purchased LALSG and have tried it once with okay results. I had good curl definition and only a little frizz, but ended up with white flakes because of the amount I had to use.
I know this gel is popular around here, so I'm wondering what you use in combination with LALSG or if anyone has tips to applying it that you would share?

Thanks in advance!

Fine, thick, 3a/2c mix, medium porosity
Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut
Condish/LI: Suave Naturals Coconut, GFTN
Stylers:
HESMU, LOOB, BRHG, FSG

Like: protein, protein, protein!!
Dislike: mineral oil, eco-styler,

i use it over a leave-in (currently using Oyin Honey-Hemp Conditioner) and usually i scrunch it in. i've also been mixing it with Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee for a little extra hold and frizz control. i generally don't have issues with flaking. however, with the summer i've been pretty lazy with my hair lately and i've been raking in just a little bit of the LALSG and BRHG after combing through my leave-in then just pinning my bangs back, so raking/combing pretty much destroys most of my curl pattern.
i've grown to really love the LALSG it's just so cheap and it works really well for me.
2c/3a
somewhere between fine and medium texture
average porosity underneath, fairly high porosity in the canopy

cowash: Suave Tropical Coconut
rinse-out: GFTN, One-C
styling: LALSG, BRHG, EcoStyler

I use it over Ecostyler Krystal - I'm not sure it would be enough on its own for me, but the combination of the two gives me waves that hold all day. I scrunch in, instead of raking with all my products.
Location: West Virginia (Eastern Panhandle)

Likes protein and most oils, HATES mineral oil
Summer Routine
Poo: Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture

PT: SS Repairing Protein Treatment
thanks girls! I'm about to give it a go again after I shower. I have some ecostyler so I'll try some of that underneath!

Thanks for the info! I have a big bottle of it leftover from when my hair was a lot shorter (pre-CG) sitting in the bathroom, but hadn't quite figured out how to get good results with it. Trying it along with another gel might be worth a go, too.

Actually, I'd held off trying it again recently because the first time I used it since my hair started getting longer it turned out really producty and crunchy and generally weird. But, I think I didn't get the egg-mayo-EVOO treatment I'd just used washed out properly.

Has anyone tried it over FSG before?
I find that certain gels over FSG gives me wonky curls, and then others give me great spirals....
tsula, thats the great thing about LALSG isn't it? It's so cheap that its not a super huge loss if it doesn't work out..although I'm really hoping it will!!
