Default Need suggestions for daughter's hair

My DD is 6, turning 7 in a month. Her hair is 2c or 3a. She has some wavy sections, some curly sections, and a lot of hair that is fragile and very prone to frizz.

We are entering summer here, which really destroys her hair with the heat and sun.

I am mostly looking for a good place to start...products and methods. She usually gets her hair washed 2x a week. I need something that isn't too complicated so that she can eventually learn how to do it as well.

I'm familiar with CG (I'm a 2c...bit of a dropout though...but my hair is easier to work with than hers).

Thanks a bunch!

I don't have fine hair, but I do know from these boards that fine hair needs a lot of protein to keep it from breaking and tangling. Hopefully, others will chime in. I would visit the wavy board and 3a board as well, since you're likely to find someone with similar hair to your daughter's. I'd also look for posts by Subbrock. She's 3c, but she has very fine hair and also has a daughter with fine 2b/3a hair and usually has lots of tips.

Kinky Curly do a kids line (and it is cheaper than the adult stuff) also the fuzzy duck line has a little trial kit of different products that may be worth trying. (These items are available in the UK so am assuming they will be in the US)
