Conditioner Chronicles comments thread

Where do you get the LaCoupe products? I don't remember seeing them locally, and the only place I see them online is Ulta.

Boy are you gonna be buried in ??'s for awhile! The CO Bigelow-- did you also test the Dry/Damaged formula by chance....? And I 2nd the ? about where to find LaCoupe -- I've never seen this one.

I've seen the LaCoupe at Ulta... I would love to try it.. but my hair doesn't seem to like wheat protiens.. it's worth a shot though because the LaCoupe products are cheap.

Currently: Trying to stop straightening so much. Using Elucence conditioner and whatever works for me.
Ulta carries LaCoupe, GF that is the first thing I looked up!

I'm so getting that next time I'm in town. Thankfully I had a lot of the Excellent conditioners already. But not the LaCoupe or the Co Bigelow one

Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

The CO Bigelow Dry/Damaged was a DT so I passed on it. It was very, very protein-rich, I remember noticing on the ingreds.

LaCoupe I found at Ulta. I love vacationing places that have Ulta because walking in an Ulta is a vacation in itself!
Laurabeth, you are so awesome for doing this! My inner PJ is going wild right now lol. I am curious about the Kenra Moisturizing conditioner. How does this compare to Elucence? Also my hair is normally sensitive to Hydrolyzed Wheat protein. Does that mean I should steer clear of this? Thanks!

I didn't have any buildup issues from the protein in it, but I'm not super-prone to it (just occasionally).
Hey, how are we going to keep this from being deleted? Since its locked its not like we can bump it.

thanks so much for all your hard work, laurabeth!

I do have one question, and I'm sorry if you answered this before... what do you do at night to protect your curls and in the morning to re-style, if anything? do you wait til your hair is dry before going to bed?
2c who can't seem to find enough moisture! Trying to figure this out once and for all 7 years after going CG!
Just a quick note to those of you that want to try LaCoupe and don't have an Ulta nearby: Ulta.com has free shipping (any size order) until Nov. 29th. The LaCoupe conditioners are also 10%, so they're about $5. With free shipping, I think that's definitely worth a try.

Woohoo thanks for telling us Bailey, I'm going to their site right now!

ETA: Woohoo Lacoupe smooth and silky is on it's way to me! It was free shipping so I said to the SO I should get several! That didn't go over well so I got one to try. Meanie

Now if they would sticky it oh oh and add the gel one stickied my life would be pretty dang perfect right now

Oh my, a huge thank you to laurabeth! I have had so much fun going through the Chronicles and making my shopping lists (although, I have to admit, I was almost embarassed to buy the Umberto condish - umm, the bottle?!? DH was L[his]AO!). Before the Chronicles, I had no idea what an impact conditioner could have on your hair's behavior! I've been experimenting a little and found that even products that never worked for me before (GF SCC/ HE Totally Twisted/ etc) will work with the right conditioner underneath. Unfortunately for DH, that means my box of "didn't work" products under the sink is now back on the counter and entering rotation.

Very impressive Laurabeth!!!

I'm late to the party, but THANK YOU for all your hard work! I am trying my styling products one per day to try and figure out which I like best, and it is already getting old after only a couple of weeks (it's hard to have to use some pre-set product rather than just using what I want to). So your dedication to this task is awesome, and it is going to help so many of us. Thanks again!!

Back on CG (OK, I'm a little indecisive).

Currently using: Whole Foods 365 Herbal Mint Conditioner (co-wash), MOP Mixed Greens Conditioner, Paul Mitchell Lite Detangler, CK, ISO Bouncy Creme. Gave up on plopping due to tangles/"stickiness" and now I just comb through products and diffuse. It looks basically as good and dries a lot faster (I wasn't getting good clumps from plopping anyway). Still wish I were a lot curlier!
