Conditioner Chronicles comments thread

Just a quick note to those of you that want to try LaCoupe and don't have an Ulta nearby: Ulta.com has free shipping (any size order) until Nov. 29th. The LaCoupe conditioners are also 10%, so they're about $5. With free shipping, I think that's definitely worth a try.

Good lord, I'm an idiot! Somehow, the Conditioner Chronicles didn't catch my eye...ever! When I saw this thread, I was looking all over the place, until I had the brilliant idea to check laurabeth's profile and find her recent posts (ugh that makes me feel stalker-ish). LB, you are officially the most scarily thorough person I have (n)ever met

I have to admit, I'm glad that the Nature's Gate Pear and Tea conditioner got a good review...I was the tiniest bit nervous about the possibility that it wouldn't get the official stamp of approval!

Anyway, thanks so much! Just wait until the next batch of reformulations! BWAHAHA!!!

I'm confused Where are these conditioner chronicles? Where can I read them? I think I missed the boat on this one.

Even if I hadn't liked the Asian Pear & Red Tea (which I did), them liking it is enough. Some others have read the Chronicles for ideas of stuff to try (especially stuff cheaper that what they're using now).

Sadly, my original #1 conditioner was discontinued before the Chronicles came out. There's one Orlando curly who tried it (so I could get a 2nd opinion, and she was looking for something new) and loved it so much she was amazed by its powers, especially since its ingreds were, well, weird. But discontinuations happen. I will say this...that NG AP&RT condish is one of the lower sellers for the NG Organics line so hopefully many curlies will buy it and ensure its continuation of existance since it really is quite good.

Anyway, thanks so much! Just wait until the next batch of reformulations! BWAHAHA!!!

So what was the discontinued #1? Inquiring minds want to know!

Back on CG (OK, I'm a little indecisive).

Currently using: Whole Foods 365 Herbal Mint Conditioner (co-wash), MOP Mixed Greens Conditioner, Paul Mitchell Lite Detangler, CK, ISO Bouncy Creme. Gave up on plopping due to tangles/"stickiness" and now I just comb through products and diffuse. It looks basically as good and dries a lot faster (I wasn't getting good clumps from plopping anyway). Still wish I were a lot curlier!

She bought up all the bottles at the Regis nearest her when it was discontinued.

Laurabeth- First of all, thank you for all your hard work.
Second- What gel/gels do you use?

Thank you so much for all of this. You have definitely gone above and beyond for all of us and I'm sure suffered some horrible hair days to do it. My only question is where did you find the Mop Top conditioner? And is it the same as MOP?

My credibility was on the line!

To be honest, I was hoping it would just get a rating of "good" so I'd have an excuse to try a new conditioner...or 5.

Emoticons! Hooray!
Thanks so much for all of that info on co's. I can't believe all of the time and energy you must have spent testing each one not too mention writing AND typing the reviews. You definitely made me want to try Elucence Moisture Balancing Co. and you confirmed my opinion on Active Hydrating Co. which is my current fave. Thanks so much again! ~~jax

Just had to say thank you for the writeup on the C.O. Bigelow conditioner! I grabbed a bottle from B&BW after reading your review. Wow -- it really does do exactly what you said, and I love the smell and the feel of it in my hair. Great stuff.

OK, I'm confused. laurabeth, did you say that all of the reviews in the Condnr Chronnies post have been uploaded into the product review area? B'coz I can't find them. You are talking about CurlProducts > Product Reviews, right?

Thanks for all the invaluble info! This will certainly help me in my quest!! I have a couple of probably stupid questions:

1. You were using these conditioners for co-washing only? Or you used the same CO for co-washing and then as your CO? Or you used 'poo plus the CO? Did you ever have to 'poo, as in to clarify, or get rid of some buildup or some ingredient?

2. Someone else asked but I'm also curious: which gel(s) (or other styling products) were you using after, if anything? (Or is there a "Styling Products Chronicles" on the way? LOL!)
