so i got my curlmart order (it was delivered to a friends house in america and it was brought over by a friend) i had a bottle of arc angell and it is full to the top of the bottle. but my TWO bottles of SIF spray arent full. they're not empty but neither goes past the curved top of the bottle. instead the liquid stops at the top of the label - thats at least an inch worth of bottle not full and for the price of the stuff it seems a bit of a rip off.
whilst i'm not bitter i do think its a bit stingy. i thought it might have been a fluke but its in BOTH my bottles. has anyone else noticed this?
this pic is taken from the CurlMart website. the thin black lines shows where you can very faintly see the liquid stopping - its slightly more white than the bottle. and it's where you'd expect the liquid to stop.
the thick black line is where the liquid stops in both my bottles. i'm not exagerating. it doesnts top AT the sticker but BELOW it. it is really about an inch work of bottle that isn't full.
i am very angry at this am i being over the top? i'd expect a bottle of new product to be full - thats easily a few weeks worth of spray from both bottles missing.
Whoa! I remember thinking that the liquid level in my last bottle seemed a bit low, but it wasn't that bad. I don't blame you at all for being mad. That stuff ain't cheap, and even if it was, you still ought to get a full bottle.

would curlmart have more power to complain to deva?
also - do you think gretchen and michelle could check all the other bottles of SIF to check if its just mine or all of them - and if it is, thats just swindling us good paying customers out of some product!
so I emailed Gretchen and Michelle with an attached picture asking for their advice. I really want to complain to Deva and expect the remaining product that is missing to be shipped to me in a mini-bottle - to pay full price for a product that isn't cheap, then to receive a product that isnt complete is just NOT ON
Oh man what a bummer! and both bottles are that way. I bet DevaCurl had an off batch or something. I remember they had a funky batch of a conditioner once. Although thin and not like the usual the bottles were at least full.
I hope they get it resolved for you and boy after all this I sure hope you like the product
I think I would measure how many fluid ounces are actually in the bottles and see if it's less that than claim. I imagine it's measured by what what's inside the bottle, not by the size of the bottle.

I was thinking this, too. It could be that they're just overfilling* less than they used to. See if the volume in your bottles is at least what the label states. If it's not, then you have a legitimate complaint. I hope it works out for you!
*I work for a company that manufactures scientific reagents and we fill each vial/bottle/etc with a little extra over the stated volume to ensure that the customer gets at least the stated amount. There can be a lot of variation in machine filling, so we try to compensate for that.
I have bought some bottles of SIF in the past too and the last one I got wasn't filled up as far as the others. It stopped just at the end of the lable. I thought about it too, that it seemed to not be full. The others I got were filled always all the way up.
It was a long time ago now though. But you'd think they should be full for that price.
I emailed Naturallycurly.com and firstly forgot to attach the photo showing the SIF bottles, but quickly sent another email with the attachment. I got quite a snippy reply back saying the photos weren't attached, but all the bottles in their stock were filled to the same point as mine.
Personally I think maybe they are starting to put less in the bottles than they used to in large batches? Because the photo on the naturallycurly website has a very faint mark where the liquid would be and it's about an inch higher than mine. I'm not very impressed but just bit my tongue and put up with it.
I took out my bottle and it is fulled up to about a half an inch above the label which seems fine. There is a half an inch to go in the bottle. So Ithink it is something with curlmart not deva. I get my deva products from cosmeticmagic.com and I have no poroblem and frankly they are much cheaper than any other website including curlmart. I love nc.com but their prices are high. You are right to complain as it is an expensive product that should be filled up higher than that.

Hmm that's really interesting. I never did measure out the liquid into a jug to see if it was correct but my reasoning is that most bottles come according to standard sizes of measurements. And if your bottles were hanf an inch fuller than mine, there is definately something fishy. My hair doesnt REALLY like the stuff which is why I didnt pursue the problem, as I wasnt overly fussed about the extra inch of product that i smissing in the bottle. But that probably is a few weeks worth of product missing, which is a scam.
What did Gretchen and Michelle say? Something similar happened to me with Jessicurl.
I meant to ask Angie - what happened with jessicurl? were they not full to the top? I have bought jessicurl from a UK website and I can confirm the bottles were full and I had no reason to doubt any product was missing.
