To back up my claim that they're not 'full', here's the photo from the website (Devachan) and you can see where the liquid stops in the bottle, as the white is less vivid at the top. And it is about an inch higher than where the product in my bottle stopped. The thin black line is where the product stops in the photo and the thick black line is where it stops in mine:
What did Gretchen and Michelle say? Something similar happened to me with Jessicurl.
I meant to ask Angie - what happened with jessicurl? were they not full to the top? I have bought jessicurl from a UK website and I can confirm the bottles were full and I had no reason to doubt any product was missing.
Yes, my bottle seems like it wasn't full to the top. Here are pics:
I'm quite surprised by your posts. Had you continued to be disastisfied, a reply to my email or a quick call is all that was necessary. CurlMart has a reputation for excellent customer service, and we're always happy to help.
When you emailed, I went and looked at the shelves and boxes of approximately 90 bottles of that product. Every single one of them was filled as I described. I even poured one into a meauring cup; it contained the correct amount of liquid. Since you didn't write back to me, I assumed you had done the same and were satisfied.
I can't say what other sellers are doing... perhaps topping off the bottles w/water? I'll be happy to check w/ Deva to see if there's been some change lately. We get our stock direclty from Deva, and then stick it directly on the shelves, and then directly into boxes to ship to customers. (Whatever you're seeing on Deva's site -- yes, I would expect they would fill bottles to the top before photographing them. It's a styling thing.)
We've had trouble with another mfger's product settling quite a bit; their machine apparently puts a lot of air into the product/bottle as the bottle's being filled. When the product settles, the bottles are significantly less than full. We've worked hard w/ this mfgr to make sure our bottles are full of the advertised amount of product. And we've absolutely replaced customers' bottles that somehow got out of our offices w/ an unsatisfactory amount of product. But the clerks have been trained to check the bottles carefully before packing them.
I hope this helps explain to everyone our policies. JF, if you'd like further resolution, please email me or email@example.com, and we'll certainly get you fixed up.

Jenny--I have always had SIF that way. My bottles have never been totally full and I believe it is so that the sprayer will work well. It cannot be compared to a product like Jessicurl's that may be a pour out product or a spray even. The product in the Jessicurl spray products is a much different consistency -- much thinner than the Deva stuff. HTH.
I wonder if the reason for the bottles of SIF from other suppliers being fuller might simply be that they were from an older batch. Seems possible that Devacurl changed their packaging process somewhere along the way, and decreased their overfill. Maybe CurlMart has bottles from a newer batch.
