Anyone in SLC going to the salon called Sacred Roots in Trolley Square?
I'm seriously thinking about trying out Ann Marie there. I guess I'm so, so happy with my current stylist but my hair is doing some weird things and I think it might be from the cut.
I have this strange cowlick at the crown and I'm losing volume now.
It's been 8 weeks since my last trim. I'm wondering if a good trim from a curly haired specialist would make a difference??

I was thinking of making an appointment to see Ann Marie myself, come January when I'll probably be due for a layering & getting my bangs trimmed.

I don't know how much she charges though & I wonder where to park & how much that will be.

I'm sort of having a bit of trouble with my stylist about getting a recent foil fixed that's too dark after the one in the spring was too light, though she is great at cutting & styling curly hair being a curly herself. And pretty soon it's going to be harder than before getting in to see her. Before she had her first child she was there daily though sometimes booked up weeks in advance. When she had her child she went to part-time 3 days a week & is booked up even more. She's going on maternity leave with her second child in approximately 5 weeks & I fear she may end up working even less then, if at all.

parking is never a problem at Trolley. I've always found a spot. There's extra parking across the street on the 6th south side. Free parking all over the place.
Yeah, sounds like you need to get a back up stylist. Sounds like your current stylist may be very difficult to get in the future.
I remember you - you actually recommended your current stylist to me but she was a bit too far to go to for me.
I'm going to give Ann a call tomorrow and see what she has available.
I called a long time ago to get a price quote and I think they quoted me something like 40.00 for a cut. But I don't really remember.
I really want to give someone else a try tho. I just feel like I need a different touch.

I have an appointment for Tues. evening with Ann Marie. I think my hair is looking so yucky lately is that it needs a trim or cut or something. I will tell her what my goal is and I'll trust her to do her thing.
Kinda scary....

Can you let me know how much she charges for a cut & style? I'm assuming a wash, condition & style come with a cut. My current stylist charges $30.

I know how scary it is trying out new ones. I'm still searching since I moved in June. I miss my New Mexico stylist!

I'm excited to hear too Darby, I've been thinking of checking out Sacred Roots after all the good reviews on the curlsalons page but I'm a bit on the cheap side of life!
