Default Picture of new blonde (styled by me) :)

Here's a better pic of my new color, & styled myself. I never like the way the hairdressers do my hair! I am very happy w/ it! And this has been the LEAST amount of drying out I've ever experienced. Which is weird cuz she colored AND foiled my whole head! I'm happy!

It looks great, Kim. The highlights really jump out at you. I wish you continued success with it. I got mine done yesterday. I'm still loving the no-bleach, but it's great to hear your stylist used quality products.

Wow, Kim, it looks fantastic. You were definitely meant to be blonde. It warms up your face.

I find that as long as I go to a stylist that knows what they're doing, highlights on fine, curly hair seems to add volume. I've always found my hair fuller right after getting lighter highlights. I'm so glad everything worked out at the new salon you went to!

gorgeous!

How do you get the top of your hair right above your forehead to stay back like that and still look natural? I've tried that type of style, but that portion of hair always falls in my face...

Keewee, katethegreat & curlilocks: The layers definitily have help in styling the top of my hair. But I attribute most of it to my huge cowlick in front! It honestly just naturally flips over that way. I just use my fingers to bend it over & when I'm diffusing I just bend side to side & upsidedown (a tiny bit).

Sometimes I wish I didn't have the cowlick so I could do different things w/ the front (like bangs or a different part) but most of the time I'm thankful for it! I can part my hair in the middle for a change I guess

I really love your hair! Now that I see the blonde, I think the dark may have washed you out. Funny how fair skinned girls can go dark, but those of us w/ a medium/olive skin tone look better a little lighter.

Sorry, I have to disagree. :P Although Kim's new blonde looks great, I also think her natural brown is just as beautiful. Brings out her lovely eyes.

I wondered about that. My sis has a little cowlick too, but she still has bangs. The top goes up but she has a few bangs below. I've been trying to get her to wear her hair like yours in front. But she's had bangs forever. Not that they look bad, but I think your style would look better on her, and be easier than fighting nature!

Kim, that's great that the color and style look good when you do it too. It's neat how your skin color looks warmer with this hair color. Your hair has gotten so much curlier since you've changed up your routine!

Thanks redceltic!!! My stylist said that I do have a lot of warm tones so that this color would look great.

I'm loving my Jessicurl routine & don't think I'll ever stray.
