CG is not using shampoos with sulfates, mainly "washing" with conditioner, and not using any products with silicones in them.

Read the Curly Girl book by Lorraine Massey and it will explain a ton of things .

Some people cannot go full CG and end up being modified CG meaning some of the products they use contain either sulfates or silicones.

That's the quickie version of CG - hope that helps some .
