Default Difference between Clarifying Shampoo and Regular Cleansing Shampoo

Can someone explain the difference?

What does a "Clarifying Shampoo" do that a regular shampoo doesn't?

If you know of some good ones..please list.

Thank You

supposed to get out more crap and buildup on your hair...but ill tell you a secret...ANY shampoo with sulfates, sls to be specific clarifies for me. i dont have to use one that says "clarifying" as those tend to be harsher IMHO.

but i guess they also mean clarifying compared to say, a moisturizing conditioner.
