Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner

Who has tried this conditioner and what did you think of it?

Personally, I've tried Aubrey Organics, Nature's Gate, and a few other conditioners against this product and I keep coming back! I use it as a LI and I just love.

Any lovers/haters out there?
3b/c :: Fine :: Porous

I My Hair
It made my hair extremely dry and hard, as did the poo. I think it was the soy protein. It smells really nice, though.
3a/3b, Fine, low porosity.
Its alright...I definitely cannot use it as a LI bc it will make my hair dry. I just recently tried out the Direct LI and I'm in love with it.
I totally love it too, and am really happy when I can score one of those giant pump bottles at TJ Maxx for $11.
I like it. It's very thick and moisturizing for my hair. I only use my conditioners for a week and then rotate to another one in my collection. For 3 CO washes in an average week, it does a good job and I'm onto another one before it gets too heavy for my hair. I have repurchased this several times.

I get a bit aggravated with the bottle. The product is so thick that I want to turn the bottle upside down in the shower to help the conditioner out quickly. But the bottle won't stand up on its own.

I'm getting to this thread a bit late, but just in case people stumble upon it... I LOVE the Giovanni smooth as silk conditioner! Definitely an under-appreciated, diamond in the rough!!

I use either Deva low poo or no poo (depending on the day) to wash, then this as my in-shower conditioner. It leaves my hair so soft and easy to detangle while in the shower. I've never tried it as a leave-in though. (I use tresemme naturals (the one with aloe) as a leave-in.) I love that the Giovanni conditioner is so affordable too (not as cheap as tresemme, but still...). I just got a buy-one-get-one-free deal at Ulta which wasn't even advertised and was quite a nice surprise (so of course I had to pick up four bottles - the last 4 they had in stock!)! Vitacost also has them for $5, so that's a good deal too. Definitely in a price range that it's worth trying if you never have!!!

ps: One little side note...the first time I tried this conditioner, I was still using silicones on my hair (though trying to co-wash - you can imagine how gross my hair got!!). That first week I tried this conditioner, I had to use a ton and it didn't work as well. I guess it couldn't penetrate past all the gooky silicone build-up. Now that I don't use any silicones though, I've never had that problem again (it's been over 6 months).

I have thick, 3c curly hair. When I casually twirl it (sopping wet), it makes perfect spirals and dries very soft, but it dries out easily, so constant conditioning is my mantra.
I really like it, it makes my hair soft and easy to de-tangle

I LOVE it. Its my #1 favorite conditioner. If I could use it daily, I would but it kind of works best every few days. I agree about it being a diamond in the rough! I dont use a separate LI. If I leave any conditioner in my hair, it is just a touch of what ever RO I have used - including the Giovanni. I have the Giovanni LI, and I dont like it.
